Almost Heaven with beautiful views of the BVI

This luxurious two-level villa is located at the 600 foot level on Bordeaux Mountain, offering spectacular views of Coral Bay and the British Virgin Islands.

This magnificent three bedrooms, three bath villa is air conditioned in all three bedrooms. There are covered verandas on both upper and lower levels.

The villa offers free WiFi and Internet TV . The gourmet kitchen offers stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, and cherry wood cabinets and all the conveniences of home.

The space
Outside you can enjoy the cool sea breezes year round on the pool deck, which is furnished with chaises and chairs. There is a 42 foot pool to enjoy after a day at the beach. The beautiful north shore beaches (Maho Bay, Hawks Nest, Trunk Bay, etc.) are an easy 15 minute ride from the villa, as are the South Shore beaches (Salt Pond Bay) and the East End (Haulover, Round Bay).

Wake up each morning to stunning sunrises as you enjoy your coffee on either of two expansive balconies. There is nothing like enjoying a candle lit dinner and glass of wine on the veranda overlooking the breathtaking views of the Caribbean. It certainly feels like you are suspended on a cloud! Relax, enjoy, and unwind in your “home away from home”.

Inside, enjoy comfortable furnishings and cool terrazzo floors as you gather with family and friends in the living room and gourmet kitchen, which is outfitted with stainless steel appliances, granite counters, and all the tools you'll need to create memorable meals. A Weber grill is available outside.

Each bedroom has its own en-suite full bathroom, and each offers access to verandas and views. Bedrooms have air conditioning available, as well as cooling breezes. One bedroom is equipped with desk, ergonomic chair, and surge protector.

Recommendations: The property is on Bordeaux Mountain and all guests should have a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Our property manager will meet you at the ferry dock to guide you to our villa.

Please note that Hurricane Season runs from June through November; if you book during that period, please purchase travel insurance, as refunds will not be available due to weather.

Almost Heaven indeed! This was such a fantastic place! Definitely requires a Jeep but makes it a fun adventure. Not really that bad after the first time. Amazing views. Very well-built home and clean. When we arrived, the property manager met us down below and we followed her up to the property. (She was driving a smaller car, but I wouldn't recommend it, due to steepness in a couple spots.) We had brought our own snorkels and masks, but they had a bunch; we used their fins, which were great. Loved the pool, kitchen, AC in each bedroom (no AC in the living room/kitchen, but it was mostly fine). Grocery store at the bottom of the hill. Great setup. Is it for sale? :-)

This was our 8th time to vacation in Coral Bay. We booked this Villa for the 1st time in November and it was hands down the best one we have ever had! The views from it's upper and lower decks are simply unapparelled. There were 6 of us and stayed for a week comfortably and had a blast being together in this beautiful Villa.

We had a lovely week at Almost Heaven. The view is incredible and the pool was enjoyed daily (note - it tends to get more morning and early afternoon sun, so we tended to enjoy it early and then go to the beach and other island exploration.) The layout of the house worked well for our family. Our two teens took the two bedrooms downstairs and we (parents) took the main level bedroom. (The king bed was broken and propped up - it was fine for my kid but not adults). The kitchen amenities were fabulous and many previous tenants have helped stock the fridge with condiments and sauces plus spices in the cabinets. (On our first day, we did find one of the drawers had a couple of dirty (and smelly!) cutting boards. After we washed everything in that drawer, it was much better.)The outside table is lovely. We enjoyed our coffee/breakfast there but were unable to enjoy it past sunset because of mosquitos, so we had most dinners with 3 sitting and 1 standing at the kitchen bar. The check-in process could be communicated a little sooner and clearer. We didn’t hear from the property manager until the night before our check-in, which is a bit nerve-racking when trying to make sure everything is ready to go for your trip and make ferry arrangements. Nina was great meeting us on the island and getting us to the house. She was also very responsive to us on the island (needing propane, etc) The drive is intimidating the first time or two, but you quickly get used to it.

Absolutely stunning views. Loved having the pool which was clean, big, and refreshing water temp. Nina was such a great communicator and very helpful. You definitely need a 4WD or AWD vehicle to get here. I love being on the slower paced less touristy Coral Bay side of the island. The A/C units in the bedrooms worked well and there was plenty of hot water. We had a party of 6 guys and felt like it was an adequate amount of space.

Beautiful house in a beautiful community. We had never been to the east side of the island and were pleasantly greeted by the charming and friendly village of Corral Bay complete with wild goats and donkeys roaming about. The view from the house is nothing short of captivating. I found myself spending extended hours gazing out at the boat laden bay and rolling array of islands vanishing into the horizon. Despite being on the quiet side of the island there are several restaurants and markets within 5 minutes drive of the house (although we were there in the off season so some restaurants were closed for the season which google maps does not track). The pool is large and was used every day. Grill also came in handy. AC in all the bedrooms although 1 malfunctioned while we were there, but we used a fan and were generally comfortable in that room. I gave this house 5 starts but really would give it 4.5 it that was an option b/c I find it hard to give 5 stars unless the house is luxury modern with all the conveniences, best mattresses, AC, etc. While this house comes close to 5 stars for its view and the other things mentioned above, it falls just a bit short. The road getting up to the house and the driveway is intimidating. Although for me after a couple of times in and out I looked forward to the challenge thanks to having a 4x4 jeep. Wonderful stay and we would do it again.

Check-in was easy. A representative met us at "the triangle" in Coral Bay, since we have prior St John experience and knew what was meant. She then led us to the villa. it is at 1820'24.9"N 6443'13.2"W.The place is as described, with one of the best views of Coral Bay imaginable. The litchen was well-quipped with dozens of plates and a large assortment of utensils. We did encounter one issue, to which the property managers responded quickly.Pro tip: Take the advice from others here, to have 4WD, seriously. We didn't have it on the first day (because Alamo didn't have the car I'd reserved); it was nearly impossible to get up the drive from the villa to Route 108 - I was burning tires to do it. And that was on dry pavement. Fortunately I was able to exchange my car. Also, since there were 6 of us, I was driving a Toyota Highlander. At 196 inches, it's very long. That matters, because you have to be able to turn around in VERY tight quarters to drive back out of the villa. If I were to do this again I'd take the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay and just rent a Jeep on St John instead. The ground clearance and turning circle also matter.

Best View in the VI

Almost Heaven definitely lives up to its name. Great communication with the host. Villa is well appointed and easliy accessible. Beautiful views and high enough to get a great breeze to keep the bugs away. Great pool to relax in after a long day of doing nothing but sitting on the beach. Easy to get in and out of for a day of not doing anything but sitting on the beach with a nice frosty beverage. Last but not least, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the chairs. These may be the most comfortable chairs in the world for doing nothing. When not at the beach or pool, this was the place to be - sitting in paradise and enjoying my new favorite channel on the gigantic, organic screen TV. I call it the EastEnd/BVI channel.

Breathtaking Views Make for a Unique Retreat

If you're looking for a place to stay on St. John with breathtaking views, this is it. Our family had a wonderful five-night stay at Almost Heaven. The views were truly stunning, and we found ourselves spending most of our time on the patio, enjoying the constant breeze and peaceful surroundings—especially in the early mornings and evenings.The home offered plenty of space for our multi-generational group, including grandparents and kids. The kitchen was well-equipped, and there are two convenient grocery stores just down the hill for any essentials. The pool was a favorite for everyone and became our go-to spot after beach days—perfect for relaxing and unwinding.Each day, we loaded up the provided beach chairs and cooler and set out to explore the island’s many beautiful beaches, most of which were just a short 10-25 minute drive away. We never felt far from anything, giving us the flexibility to stay in and relax or easily venture out and explore. There are also some great local restaurants nearby.It’s true that the drive up and the driveway can feel a bit intimidating at first, but don’t let that discourage you. We had 2 AWD RAV4s and were able to navigate it. The property manager met us in Coral Bay, guided us to the house, helped us get settled, and made the check-in/out process smooth and straightforward.Overall, Almost Heaven lived up to its name. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a scenic stay in Coral Bay.

Beautiful View

The property was exactly what we expected, perfect, probably one of the best views on St John. The drive to and from the house however was very challenging, bumpy with blind curves. Please keep your jeep in 4 Wheel Drive and be careful.

Excellent pool, awesome location, and amazing view. Enjoyed the layout and house had everything needed to enjoy the island and relax. Driveway/access is a little spicy to navigate but nothing out of the ordinary for the island and the view is well worth it. Communication was easy and helpful. Would definitely come back.

Almost Heaven is an appropriate name!

We never tried of the views from this beautiful villa! We appreciated the binoculars to watch the boats in the harbor below.The rooms were spacious and the kitchen lacked nothing we needed. The AC in the bedrooms worked well and the patio was breezy. The pool was huge and a bit warmer than others we've experienced in Coral Bay. The driveway was challenging (we actually needed 4wheel drive, especially after rain), but then was a quick shot down Bordeaux to Coral Bay. The breezes helped keep the bugs at bay, and the bats helped too.We truly enjoyed our stay!

They named it right!

The view, the atmosphere, it truly is almost heaven. For our family of 6 adults, the layout and amenities were great. Now the beaches on St. John’s are the best in the Caribbean in my opinion. The only downside some might find would be the drive in and out. I found it fun and challenging, others might be a bit intimidated. It is a pretty steep drive.

Gorgeous View, Lovely-Appointed Villa

Our family was in St John for a quick stay to attend a family friend’s wedding. This was our 6th time to the island and we prefer the quiet of Coral Bay and nothing beats the view of the bay from above. Almost Heaven is a great name for this villa. Amazing views, spacious, balconies for sunrises and sunsets, big pool and loungers, comfortable, spacious bedrooms and each with its own bath. Your choice to sleep with the a/c or the sea breezes. If you’re unfamiliar with the twists, turns and inclines of the roads, be prepared - you’ll need an all-wheel drive to get to paradise. The check-in process with the person who was supposed to meet us was not a smooth one. But that was the only downside to an otherwise fabulous location. Great restaurants down the hill, Skinny Legs within 6 minutes and Miss Lucy’s 10 minutes away.

Perfect house with gorgeous views

Our family of 5 (three teenage boys) had a great time at Almost Heaven. The house had everything we needed and was exactly as advertised. Smooth communication and check-in process was a breeze. The views are incredible and we like the quieter side of St. John in Coral Bay.The other comments about the driveway are correct - it is daunting even for someone experienced in driving on St. John, but worth it for the views and the house. Luxury with a fantastic view!

At first we thought it was strange that we were supposed to meet Leo in town instead of at the house, but as she led us up the road, it became apparent that we would have had difficulty finding the place on our own. The roads are steep and hard to navigate if you don't know where you're going. Once you get the hang of it, the drive down into Coral Bay only takes a few minutes. You do want at least all-wheel-drive just because of the steepness of the roads.The place itself is amazing. Very clean and comfortable, a well-stocked kitchen, and maybe the best pool in town. Air conditioning in the bedrooms worked well for us (though it wasn't super hot when we were there, so we didn't need it that much). Views of Coral Bay from the two patios and pool are outstanding. There are beach towels and chairs available, as well as a washer and dryer (much appreciated). I wish we had stayed longer!

Very well stocked house. Amazing views of the bay and the BVI's. Sun rises were worth getting up early for. Definitely need a 4x4 and nerves of steel to commute on the final section of the road. Easy commute to the beaches and everything for the beach is at the house. Spent a down day enjoying the besutiful pool.

Fabulous Home with Heavenly Views!

The views from Almost Heaven are truly heavenly. We have been visiting St John for over 40 years and this view ranks at the top. We encountered a few issues during our 12 night stay. The management company was wonderful and did their best to respond quickly. Some issues were fixable, some were not, but they did try. Parking has been mentioned. After the 1st couple backs down the driveway, it wasn’t that difficult. The house is well stocked with everything needed. We enjoyed cooking and eating on the deck with the amazing views. As a note, the only place to dine is on the deck since there is no indoor dining other than kitchen island stools for 3. Fabulous home with Heavenly views!

Amazing View!

We had a wonderful time at Almost Heaven! The house had everything we needed for the beach and the views are fantastic! My kids loved the huge pool, they had lots of floats to use as well. Leo and team were very responsive to any questions we had. The road to get down to the house and driveway is very steep but not an issue after a few times. 4WD is a must!!! Almost Heaven was a great stay for our family!

Lovely location overlooking Coral Bay

Almost Heaven met all our expectations. The home was comfortable & the view exquisite. We would definitely stay again!The street leading to the home & parking in the driveway was most difficult especially at night. A jeep is necessary. Nina was helpful guiding us in.Also , the manager was most accommodating
