The property was great! The location was great being about 5 minutes from town. Sitting on the deck was very serene. The only sound from the modern world was an occasional car on the private road a couple hundred yards through the trees. It was shaded all day and there was nearly always a nice breeze. The house was tastefully decorated, comfortable and clean. My wife and like to go someplace different whenever we take a driving vacation, but we are thinking of coming here again!

This is a charming house in a beautiful setting. The windows enable a perfect view of the back. We were close enough to visit winery’s and spend time in Wimberley while the guys found great spots for fishing. We definitely would stay here again!

We enjoyed this rental very much. There was good communication and the home was outfitted superbly. The hot tub was not really hot enough, but this is a common issue with rentals and I believe the only way that multiple users can be safeguarded. It is a very minor criticism, if at all.

The A/C in the house was not working properly. The living and guest rooms were cooling with the exception of the master and its bathroom. We own HVAC companies therefore we know how to inspect the unit and attic to see why it is not cooling. This house has duct issues to the master which tells us it is not a new issue. The owner is aware and chooses not to inform people of the home's state. It took several texts that were not answered promptly to the host. The only 2 solutions to an AC unit not working are the following: send a portable ac unit or move tenants to another property. Neither were accommodated. This house should not be allowed to rent unless the AC issues are specified in the listing.

We enjoyed our stay at the house in Wimberley! Location was convenient to downtown and the river while still feeling secluded in the hill country. The backyard down to the creek was a great view, and we enjoyed sitting on the patio in the mornings watching the birds. The rooms were comfortable, and the house was stocked and prepared for the trip. A few things to note. The house has a septic system, which wasn't an issue, but it does smell like septic when you flush toilets. We came during peak summer heat, and while the AC worked well, the bedrooms never got as cool as we'd like. There are some gaps in the doors where heat was getting in, and there are no curtains on the windows in the living room, so the house was subject to the full heat of the day. The house was clean, but it smelled like vinegar products were used to clean, so we could smell that as well when you walk into the house.

Great weekend trip. The king bed was very comfortable and the house was clean and cozy. We enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs on the back deck and the hot tub was perfect on a cool night. Close to Wimberley and plenty of space to hang out.
