The house is spacious for a group, even if it's rainy (which it often is on this side of the island). The kitchen has everything you might need if you are staying in. Directions about wifi, TV, and the alarm system are posted in the house. It's close to Volcano!

This was our 3rd time staying here. We absolutely love it! It is a true home away from home in the most gorgeous setting. The host, John, & caretaker Brandy, are gracious & responsive. The house is spacious, private & fully equipped with everything you need for a week long stay. The kitchen is delightful. The spa is huge & comfortable. We look forward to coming back again & again.

From booking through check-out, the host was very quick to communicate with us. They were able to accommodate us when we asked to drop our perishable food items off early, which we appreciated so much. The house is well-appointed with everything my chef-hubby needed, and we were relieved to find they even had a coffee grinder! We really enjoyed the hot tub after our daily hikes in the park, and we appreciated the beach towels that were provided. We were fortunate enough to be there on a morning when Madam Pele paid a visit, so we were some of the first people into the park thanks to the five minute drive.The only suggestions I’d make would be to invest in some new mattresses, as several of them were very flat and the master bed was super squeaky. Also, the dehumidifier was not turned on and there was some mildew on the ceilings in two bedrooms. With these minor tweaks, I would give this place 5 stars across the board.

Hot tub was a hit. Lots of kitchen appliances and a large fridge worked well for our group of ten. The yard/surroundings are so beautiful and peaceful. I would stay again if mattresses get toppers or are replaced!The location makes trips into the national park a breeze and is not far from Hilo or Punalu'u. We recommend the local restaurants and checking out the Thursday night market as well!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home— it had everything we would have needed and then some! Close proximity to Volcano National Park made it easy for our family to take breaks between exploring, and the hot tub was a great way to wind down at the end of each day. The house was very clean. Located in a very quiet neighborhood. It was really close to Volcano National Park. Just about 45 min drive to Hilo and Black Sand Beach. Would definitely recommend this property.
