Our family's stay at CEN24 8/2-8/9/25 in Point Pleasant was a deep disappointment and, in my opinion, a bad value for the money.As a grandparent, my dream for this week away was simply to treat my family to happy Point Pleasant memories in a clean, comfortable, well-appointed home. Unfortunately, instead of a dream it was a bit of a nightmare with issue after issue with our stay.The issues began before we arrived. A few days before our arrival, we received notice that we had to supply our own sheets and towels. That was certainly a surprise and we were simply told the owner had changed the policy from the description when I booked. No notice/consideration. Last minute scramble for us. Obviously, that added hundreds of dollars and a good deal of frustration before our trip even began.When we arrived, cleaning was still underway, as we were told the previous guests had left the house a mess. And we could certainly tell. Even after the cleaning, the floors were sticky, silverware in drawers still had food on it, etc. We felt it necessary to re-wash every dish, every glass, every piece of silverware. We also went out and bought mops and re-cleaned all the floor (mops were black from dirt after we cleaned). Again, not the type of experience you want at any rental property, let alone one at this price point.We faced other issues too. Freezer issues. Broken frame in the queen bedroom making it unusable. Leaky bathroom sink. Door issues, etc. OWNER WAS COMPLETELY UNRESPONSIVE.
