Walk from the Out West Nest to Fruita's summer activities, such as Thursday free outdoor concerts and Saturday farmers' markets. Outdoor adventures abound in Fruita: hiking and biking trails in the red rock desert country, rafting trips down the Colorado River, and ski / snowboard rental for a trip to nearby Powderhorn resort. Drive a couple miles to visit the local wineries and orchards of Palisade on the northeastern side of the Grand Junction valley.
