Hi Amy, thank you so much for your feedback! I'm truly sorry to hear you weren’t able to use the bedding for the foldout sofa, we always keep extra linens in the closet for guest convenience. I really wish we had known during your stay, as we would have been more than happy to assist right away. We also have a pizza cutter and can opener available, and would’ve gladly pointed those out had we been notified. Again, we truly appreciate you choosing to stay with us!

We’d like to clarify a few points for future guests: the home was built in 2000's, not the 1980s, and four of the five bathrooms in the home have showers. We were happy to quickly address these minor items for you (loosened leg on the air hockey table, turning on the hot tub jets and sending a replacement pool ball). A later refund request for your stay after your check out did not reflect these limited concerns, but we’re glad you shared that you enjoyed your time at the home.

I would like to address your concerns and clarify a few points, particularly since your stay was already provided at a discounted rate, and no additional discount was granted for the issues raised. Ant Infestation: The property is regularly treated by a licensed pest control service, and Texas’ warm climate can occasionally cause ants or other insects to appear, even after treatment. However, this does not amount to an "infestation." We provide bug spray for minor occurrences, but we would have gladly arranged for additional pest control had it been necessary. Bug Bait and Cleanliness: The bug bait is part of the standard pest control measures and not a sign of poor cleanliness. However, I apologize if certain areas, such as the baseboards, did not meet your expectations. We will follow up with our housekeeping team to ensure these areas receive more attention. Bedroom Count and Futon: The listing accurately states 5 bedrooms, with an additional office area that includes a futon. No one was sent out to repair the futon as your group size never required its use as there were enough beds for everyone. We will still inspect the futon to ensure it is in proper condition for future guests. Blown Light Bulbs: There was a total of 1 light bulb that was out in the entire home. It was in a well-lit area that more than covered the one missing bulb. We encourage guests to report any issues so we can resolve them immediately; however, we try not to interrupt guest plans for minor issues. Hot Tub and Landscaping: The hot tub was inspected prior to your arrival, and there were no reported issues during your stay. We inspected it again after your stay and it worked just fine. If there were additional instructions needed on how to turn it on, we would have welcomed the opportunity to assist you with this during your stay. Previous Reviews: The issues from previous reviews, specifically regarding ants, were addressed. However, occasional sightings of ants can still occur due to the local climate. It’s important to note that you attempted to seek an additional discount by reporting these minor issues after the your stay, but given that the stay was already discounted and that the reported concerns did not warrant further compensation, no additional discount was offered. We strive to provide the best experience possible and encourage guests to report any concerns directly during their stay so that we can resolve them swiftly.
