Always a great time!

This is the perfect getaway! Peaceful with a great view. Perfect spot for anyone who wants to experience beach and bay views!!! This was our second stay and are already planing our next stay! Views are fantastic!!

Just what we were looking for.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: All in all very good place to stay especially for fishing. The only suggestion would be that the furniture seem like it may need to be upgraded. Mostly the beds. We would definitely consider stay again.

It was booked for another family. They knocked on the door and said they had reservations and we told them that we had the Condo until Sunday morning. Don't know what happened after that

This unit was very well set up and with and and all amenities you would need....except paper towels. I’m not saying anything negative about it but one complementary roll would’ve been nice-so remember to bring some! The beds were very comfortable, and there were plenty of towels. We will definitely be staying there again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We needed a last minute rental when family plans changed, and we found Navy Cove 1405. It was in the perfect location and at an affordable price. We have stayed in several condos in several places and have seen a variety of conditions in our price range. This unit was clean and very comfortable for our family. Views of the bay and ocean. The complex was secure and in great condition. The property managers helped us with a second parking pass and replacing a broken toilet seat quickly. Check in and out was super easy. Highly recommend!

Sun, Wind, and Waves

At first there was a hiccup regarding the boat slip associated with the unit; but the staff at Sunset worked it out, and we had a slip for the week. The unit itself was just as beautiful as described. The weather! When you pick a week in February for your holiday, you cannot control the weather in June. We experienced several intense storms, with sideways rain and high winds. The windy conditions resulted in high waves, a little too much for our boat; so we only had two fishing days for the boys; but the beach, and pool for us girls, was very relaxing. We never made it over to Dauphin Island because of the wind and waves; the ferries were not running very reliable; but we made the most of our change of plans. A visit to Fort Morgan was unexpectedly well worth it. We played mini golf and went down to Flora-Bama for drinks and Bingo. And of course, great food, I highly recommend the Blacken Redfish at Mikee’s. Despite the weather throwing is a curveball, we all had a great stay at Navy Cove Harbor 1405.

Poorly managed

The unit itself was fine but there were several issues starting with; being given the wrong gate code so we had to wait and make phone calls before we were able to get on to the property. When we finally got into unit 1405 we found the floors were dirty. The fan in the master bathroom didn’t work. On Sunday we found the elevator not working and the gate was frozen and would not open. We made repeated calls about the elevator as I am recovering from knee surgery and both my husband and I are in our 70s so four flights of stairs are not optimal. There was no sense of urgency to get this issue addressed and in fact the elevator was not fixed until Tuesday so two and a half days out of service!

We regret the negative impacts these issues had on your stay. Since we do not manage the building or the grounds, we have absolutely no control over the elevators or the gate. We did keep in contact with the association about the elevator not working. I know this was very frustrating for you as well as inconvenient. Please come back and give us another try.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The layout of the condo was nice and the stay would have been nice if not for two issues. The elevator was broken and it didn’t seem that it was a priority to have it repaired. Myself and others guest were told a part had been ordered. You would think the property owner would have had it overnighted. The second issue and the worse was this horrible fish smell from the refrigerator. We had notice the smell in the hallway and I was sure someone left a fish hidden somewhere to play a prank. I finally realized it was the inside of the freezer and refrigerator. I looked up how to get rid of the smell on the internet and found wiping everything down with vinegar and water. They had about 5 baking soda boxes and some other gel type deodorizer. I throw them all out because they were holding the smell. I went to a nearby Dollar Store and bought vinegar and baking soda. I spent my first night removing every shelf for the freezer and refrigerator and cleaning them with the vinegar and water. This did help the smell but didn’t take it completely away. I also placed the new baking soda boxes in the fridge and freezer. We were limited to what we could place in the refrigerator so the smell would not pass on our leftovers. So we only placed completely sealed items in the fridge. I texted the customer service number to make them aware but I was only asked if there was baking soda in the refrigerator. I would not stay here again. The place is not bad but the lack of help or concern just left a bad taste in my mouth.

Since we do not manage the building, the elevator is out of our control. I know this was a major inconvenience.
