Beautiful place to hang out and decompress! Loved it! Super charming. Will be back!
Little peice of heaven
Stacey and Rob, has such a unique experience to offer travelers. We had such an enjoyable, relaxing two night stay. One of most best aspects of the stay, is there is no cell or wifi service. We were able to unplug and actually relax.
Could not be happier with the whole experience.
The magic of silence
For some odd reason we expected WiFi during our stay at the historic schoolhouse cabin on a remote hillside ...but after getting through the first challenging hours without cell service, TV and Internet, we started to love of just BEING there.
The best description I can give about the property is that it is a little glimpse of heaven.
The Stermitz family is delightful and accommodating. The Ranch is absolutely gorgeous but also has a very peaceful feeling. Upon arrival I was in awe and mesmerised by the charm that the schoolhouse cabin beholds. I thought an interior decorator decorated but it was Stacy Stermitz's natural talent and good taste and Rob Stermitz's carpentry in restoring what has been in the Stermitz family five generations long.
Every amenity has already been thought of and is available at the schoolhouse cabin. The location is private and quaint however easily accessible to Yellowstone national Park.
I can't promote this place enough! It would be a treat to yourself to experience the Stermitz Ranch.
what a great time
We spent 4 nights in the school house and my wife and I had a really great time. The ranch and horses are wonderful and we had the time of our lives on Pedro and Wyatt for two hours of horse back riding through the ranch.
I would recommend the school house for anyone who wants to get away from it all.
Perfect Getaway From the Stresses of City Life!
My wife and I are from Los Angeles and we were looking for a mountain retreat to get away from it all. We found this adorable schoolhouse that had been converted into a delightfully cozy cabin on the Stermitz Ranch outside of Gardiner, MT. The ranch exceeded our expectations. It had plenty of open space, horseback riding and hiking. Stacy, Rob, Luke and the ranch hands were very friendly and accommodating - made us feel at home. The scenery was spectacular - rolling hills and mountains, meadows, wild flowers, trees, horses and blue skies. We would come back in a heartbeat! We highly recommend checking this place out, as it should be on anyone’s “short list”.
