Relax with friends or the whole family at the peaceful Parkside Cottage. This quiet, welcoming and private 1,000 SF home offers two bedrooms, 1 bathroom and a fully stocked kitchen. The cottage is steps away from a trailhead right into Seal Bay Nature Park, yet only 10 minutes from downtown Comox and downtown Courtenay. The property is a great hub from which to enjoy local restaurants, wineries, sandy beaches, parks, hiking, mountain biking trails, golf and Mount Washington Skiing Resort.

We had a relaxing and “peaceful” stay at Andrea and Scott’s cottage in early October. It’s in great condition and very tastefully decorated. The beds and the sofa were very comfy and the kitchen was one of the best we’ve been in as a rental. We enjoyed being beside one of the trailheads for Seal Bay park. We also really appreciated having a fully fenced yard for our dog ! although we didn’t leave her alone out there. That is so hard to find in rentals. Andrea was very responsive and we enjoyed trying the eggs from their hens. Good location. We enjoyed seeing the pink salmon spawning in the Tsolem river about a 15 min drive away. Would love to return for another stay!

My family had a relaxing stay at the Cottage. Very well supplied and everything we needed for our stay. This was the best accommodation that we had on our 14 day trip on Vancouver Island.

This property was amazing !! It was near a few hiking and biking trails .It had a fantastic outdoor firepit with comfy chairs. The inside was beautiful. You could buy farm eggs next door. The owner was very responsive to our questions. Definitely a hidden Pearl !!!! Would definitely choose to go back

It was our second time staying here. It's a wonderful, peaceful setting with a beautiful trail system literally next door. Loved sitting out on the porch listening to the crickets while the dog enjoyed the fully fenced yard. Wonderful kitchen with all the tools and appliances you could ask for. If we visit Vancouver Island again, this is where we'll stay.

Well deserved getaway.

I rented the cottage to visit our daughter who lives on the island and celebrate my wife’s birthday. The cottage was perfect. The location was what we were looking for. Lots of trails for biking and hiking which we enjoyed. Short walk to the ocean where we seen seals every day. The cottage had everything we needed and more. Andrea was a great host.

Peaceful Parkside Cottage

VRBO listing accurate. Did not have time to explore the pathway beside the cottage which intrigued me but the visit was spent with family time. Cottage is well equipped and beautifully decorated. Cozy with lots of blankets and pillows useful on cool nights sitting outside beside the propane fire pit under the stars which we enjoyed. Hosts quickly responded to questions accommodating special request. Quiet dead end street in ideal country setting yet only minutes to town.

Just what I needed

This lovely, quiet cottage is situated on a cul de sac. Two steps from the property is the entrance to Seal Bay Nature Park. The cottage is modern and well equipped. The hosts have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. Everything from cookware to bedding is top notch quality. I will come back again and again. Thank you.

Family Reunion and Getaway

The cottage is in a great location especially if you like a peaceful and tranquil place to stay. It’s next to a forest. There are some lovely walking paths through the forest and one of them takes you to Seal Bay Cove, which is lovely. Property is well maintained. Kitchen is well stocked with cooking apparel, utensils and cleaning products. Plenty of room to sleep six. Towels and amenities are provided. A lot of thought was put into setting up this cottage. It’s a 10-15 minute drive to Comox or Courtney. Everything you need can be found in either location. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. The hosts were very attentive and replied quickly to any questions we had. Would definitely stay there again!

Outstanding!

From the initial contact through to check-out, our experience at Parkside Cottage was exceptional. All the little touches were there including fully equipped kitchen with an assortment of staple items supplied, bathroom with plenty of towels, bedrooms with plenty of storage and comfy beds. The outdoor areas were great too with a covered porch and a patio with gas BBQ. The proximity to Seal Bay Park (trail entrance right next door), the airport, and the relative closeness of Courtney make this an ideal property to stay at. The hosts do their best to make this property the best that we have ever stayed in!

Great stay for our getaway.

This cottage is bright, spacious, very clean and well laid out with all the amenities one could want. It’s easy to find and check-in is a breeze. The property is quiet and at night there’s no city lights to obstruct star gazing. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again.
