Great Location in Wine Country

Overall a great say for myself and my girlfriends. The location is amazing, we walked to dinner and you could walk to several tasting rooms. Also, great location for driving to local wineries you can be at some great wineries in under 15 minutes.

Excellent Location

We are not from this area, but this small town this home was in was amazing and so cute! Great food and so much to see. This property is located perfectly between the mountains and the beach in the heart of wine country. It made the perfect addition to our Oregon stay.

Relaxing Carlton Cottage Getaway

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at the cottage! The home was beautiful, especially the master bedroom & bathroom, was very clean, and was accurately described in the online listing. The location also was absolutely perfect! Everything was within walking distance, even for my 91 year old mother! She was able to walk to the local shops and restaurants with us with her walker and loved it! Thank you, Melissa, for your excellent communication and for hosting such a great stay! We would love to return again for another family vacation.

We were two families with young kids in town for a reunion and this house met all our needs perfectly. Clean, comfortable, and great location for the summer months with the community pool right across the street. Sadly we didn’t have time for wineries this trip, but there were a ton right nearby, and Carlton is tiny but very cute. There’s no grocery store in town but it’s only 10 min away. Easy check-in & check-out. Would stay again & recommend to others!

Had a fantastic stay. Small town vibe but there is a lot going on and all within walking distance. Easy drive to other towns and wineries. Property is very nice. Easy access. Quiet. We will return for sure.

Great spot for wine weekend getaway

Melissa's place is enormous, well-stocked/outfitted, and extremely conveniently located just off of downtown Main Street in Carlton. Perfect for a weekend trip to visit Willamette Valley wine country in a quiet, cozy town. Minutes' walk to restaurants and tasting rooms. Melissa was also great about arranging for an early check in time to accommodate our travel plans. Would highly recommend, and would stay again!

We had the best time in this lovely home! So much character and charm and being walking distance to restaurants and coffee was a bonus. My son loved playing at the park across the street and went any chance he got. Can’t wait to visit again!

This house is old and not well updated. It supposedly sleeps 8, but it definitely doesn’t sleep more than 5 comfortably. The downstairs mattresses sag and need replacing. The air conditioning works well and was appreciated.

We hope that all our guest can appreciate the historical nature of the home as it was built in 1920 and care has been taken to preserve its character. Sleeping accommodations, including a king bed, two queen beds, and a full-size sleeper sofa which other guests have used comfortably for eight people. We are grateful for the direct feedback and have updated the mattresses

Perfect for wine tasting weekend

This property was perfect for 3 couples in town for a wine tasting weekend. We walked to everything in Carlton from this house. Carlton has about a dozen tasting rooms, several really good restaurants (Cuvée in particular), and some cute shops. The master suite is amazing, the beds were super comfortable, and the kitchen and house are well equipped for everything you will need. The host was very responsive and even contacted me to notify us that we left something behind and coordinated shipping for its return. We will definitely stay here again if we go back to Carlton.

Great little home, perfect for a girl trip.

Everything was great except; they did not clean the kitchen very well. The cleaners did not put trash liners in the downstairs bathroom. Items left in the fridge. Overall though it was great.. .

Graduation celebration in wine country!

We celebrated the completion of my masters program in Portland and took the weekend to enjoy some wine tasting. Carlton is a small and charming town that is only 20 mins from many great vineyards. There are several tasting rooms in town as well that are walking distance from the house. The home is deceptively large and the attic main en suite bedroom upstairs is magical! All of our group really enjoyed how lovely and comfortable the home was. Checking in was super easy and the code automated door was a breeze. Melissa was always available for us and keeping in touch was super simple in the app. I would definitely stay here again! Amazing time!

Perfect little place

Carlton is a wonderful small town and this house is a great escape for visiting that cool town and the area. Obviously lots of superb wineries (KWC has been a favorite for years and a brief two minute walk away!). Really good restaurants for any budget although there aren't many: Carlton Bakery! Earth & Sea is fantastic! Carlton Corners! Wedding event at Abbey Rd. Farm was beautiful and a stop at Crowing Hen was a pleasant surprise with excellent microbrews and cool property. Oh, the house... Very nice. Upper bedroom is quiet escape from the younger crowd downstairs. Only downside was the trucks shaking things up early in the morning...but hey, it's a working small town. Oh, and a few pesky sugar ants. But, the surrounding area is absolutely picture perfect as the leaves were starting to turn! Hope to visit again.

Perfect Location with Character

WOW!! We absolutely loved our stay in this cottage in Carlton. Perfectly convenient to fantastic wine tasting and delicious restaurants. The home is tastefully restful and was very comfortable for four adults. The owner is very communicative and check in/out was a breeze. The neighborhood is safe and walking to everything is easy. Directly across the street is the small City Park that was decorated for Christmas like you were in one of those Hallmark Christmas movies. It was a beautiful scene right out the front window. It was magical!! The town of Carlton is charming with its small shops, coffee cart, bakery and great restaurants. We will undoubtably return again and again.
