Pet Friendly 1 story unit, king bed, stocked kitchen in City of Mexico Beach

Clown Fish Cottage in Mexico Beach is where you want to be!!! It's a fun, brightly colored, roomy, first floor space with ocean views. There are a bunch of windows which bring in lots of light showing off our nautical decorated theme. It's a 1 bedroom, 1 bath with a separate built-in bunk bed which is so much fun and brings out the kid in all of us.

Our Clown Fish Cottage is pet friendly too. Since this space is on the first floor there is just 1 step into the space. There is a covered patio outside the full length of the house for storing all your beach gear and toys and in the front there is a screened in porch with another dining table, porch swing & chairs for lounging.

Our master bedroom you'll be sleeping on a king size bed. Each of our bunk beds are comfortable twin size adult mattresses. The space sleeps 4 people. We have a smart TV in the living room and a smaller smart TV in the bedroom. Although we don't offer cable television we do have internet & wifi so you can stream all your favorite programs from your apps such as Amazon, Hulu, Netflix and more. There is also live TV from our Roku TV. Bring your firestik to plug into the tv and watch your home cable network here as well

The beach is such a short walk. We are one street back from the beach. You can even see the ocean from the living room and the screened in front porch. Right across the street is a boardwalk leading down to the beach making it easy to pull your beach toys in our provided beach cart. You're also close to the area restaurants and there's a grocery store within a 1/2 mile from the house

Our neighborhood is quiet too. Lots of full-time residents and second home vacation properties. There are no apartments, beach condos or high-rise beach hotels blocking the view either. The Clown Fish Cottage is located along a beautiful stretch of Mexico Beach where no properties can be built blocking the beautiful view of the Gulf. The streets are great for bike rides and there is a sidewalk along 98 in Mexico Beach for you to walk your dog or stroll to some of the local restaurants.

There’s plenty to do at the Clown Fish Cottage in Mexico Beach. Should you encounter a rainy day, no problem, we have games in the dresser by the door and under the TV table. You can steam live TV or watch movies and television programs from your favorite apps.

The Clown Fish Cottage is pet friendly and you’re welcome to bring your dog with you however Mexico Beach is not a pet friendly beach. We are 4 blocks from the pet friendly beach.

Shopping
If while visiting Mexico Beach you’re in the mood to do a little shopping there is a souvenir shop called the Shell Shack. You can also pick-up fresh seafood here to bring back to the Clown Fish Cottage for dinner. The bulk of the shopping will be located in Port St. Joe Florida which is about a 15-minute drive from our beach house. There are several cute little shops here located on Reed Street in Port St. Joe. Feel a little more adventurous you can drive over to Apalachicola which is a 40-minute drive from our beach house. This town has lots of cute little shops, a brewery and some fabulous restaurants.

Restaurants
You’ll find a few food trucks scattered about in Mexico Beach with odd open hours, a coffee house and we currently have one eat in restaurant called Mango Marley’s within a mile of the Clown Fish Cottage.

For a bigger selection of eating options take a left out of our driveway then a left on Hwy 98 going towards Port St. Joe. There will be a great seafood restaurant on your left called Shipwreck, it’s about 3 miles from the Clown Fish Cottage.

6 miles on your right, from Mexico Beach, there is a development called Windmark Beach. Pull down the main drive and there will be a couple restaurants in here as well as a public gym you can get a week pass for working out. In Windmark there is a pizza & wing place, bar offering corn hole games and another restaurant called the View.

Once you get into Port St. Joe you’ll find a McDonalds, Taco Bell, Burger King as well as some very nice restaurants and grocery stores. We have menus of some of the restaurants located in our Welcome Book at the Clown Fish Cottage. Reed Street in Port St. Joe will be where you’ll find the bulk of the restaurants in Port St. Joe

From the Clown Fish Cottage if you take a right on Hwy 98 going towards Mexico Beach and Tyndall Airforce Base, there is a restaurant in the city of Parker called Rodeo that has good food on the bay. It will be on your left. There’s also a fantastic donut shop on your left in Parker called Leon’s donuts. Be sure to stop there as their donuts are out of this world delicious. Next to the Raceway gas station in Parker, on the left a couple buildings down from the donut shop is a great Thai restaurant. It’s in a bright yellow building.

Travel a few more miles staying to the right on Hwy 98 (not business 98) there will be more restaurants, fast food restaurants such as Chick-filet, McDonalds, Taco Bell, Starbucks and more. It’s about a 25 to 30 minute drive from the Clown Fish Cottage depending on time of day.

Nightlife
Lookout Lounge which is about 2 miles from our pet friendly beach house, on the left, has live music and karaoke on the weekends. Port St. Joe has several bars offering live music, pool and more. Apalachicola which is a 40 minute drive from the Clown Fish Cottage has bars offering live music as well

Grocery Stores
There’s a great grocery store about a mile from my beach house. A Dollar General on the left 2 miles from the Clown Fish Cottage or drive into Port St. Joe to the Piggly Wiggly or the Dollar General Grocery store. Going in the opposite direction towards Tyndall Air Force Base you can stock up at the Winn Dixie and Walmart but it’s a good 30-minute drive from the house.
