Thank you for your review. We’re sorry you’re experience in our home was unsatisfactory. To be completely transparent, this guest’s review was extremely critical and, while we appreciate the feedback, we feel the exact details should be revealed. We had a previous guest who stayed here for a few months and she had dogs. She checked out the week before this guest and his family arrived. Our cleaners did a deep clean of the house after the previous guest left but apparently did not clean under the sofa, which is where the rug with dog hair and the dried up dog urine was found. He did not mention that in the review. The refrigerator smudges were, apparently, also overlooked. We were extremely embarrassed by this when this guest contacted us right after his arrival. We called our cleaner and they went over the very next morning to remedy the situation. We offered a refund to this guest from day one but he did not want to leave. We continued to offer him to check out and offered a refund for any night he did not stay. He refused. We did not offer a discount on his stay because he actually had more people staying in our home than he stated he would have on his booking (more people than we have beds for). Please check our reviews. This was not a typical experience at our home.
