Didn't want to write this review, but guy was rude enough to prompt it. Place isn't clean, simple as that. Holes in the walls, carpets stained, kitchen like a frat house (half empty nyquil bottles, no paper towel, every pot dirty, cabinets and fridge dirty). There were 2 smoke alarms chirping and we couldn't seem to figure out where it was. I didn't stay even one night because my father and I weren't comfortable to stay even after a 10 hr drive. I asked if we could get a partial refund and I would pay for at least a 1 night stay. He refused and told me a whole bunch of stuff like I'm a type of person to take pictures and complain, or that I shouldn't expect such high standards, I'm not familiar with vrbo, I should have read the reviews and it's on me (thought at least the smoke alarms would be fixed 2 guests ago), told me I got a deal, accused me that I am threatening him to leave a bad review if I don't get a refund (I explained I didn't want that at all, I thought it would give him a chance to fix the issues for the next guest), etc etc. (By the way I do have pictures because vrbo requested that I do send them in). I go to little rock area every other week so I am familiar with vrbo and I'm not expecting perfection. I help my parents manage their rentals ane in short; I've cleaned and prepped rentals my entire life so it felt like staying in a place someone just moved out of. I tried to explain my concerns on the phone with the host. I'm sure he will discredit my claims.

When we arrived a smoke alarm was beeping. We notified her immediately. She said they would be changed. It finally stopped temporarily. Then it started beeping again at 3:30 am. Messaged her again that we needed them replaced first thing Saturday morning. Finally gave up and went to buy batteries. Replaced them and sent her the receipt for reimbursement. She told us to return the batteries to the store that her maintenance man was coming later that day. We told her there was already replaced in. The packaging was thrown away. We did not need the maintenance man to come anymore. She said that the cameras and Wi-Fi were down and he was coming That afternoon and to take the batteries back to the store. We explained that we could not return used batteries to the store. When the maintenance man returned.( really just the ADT man.) he did not have batteries to replace the smoke detector batteries. And said he disabled the device so we no longer had a smoke alarm or carbon monoxide device in the kitchen with a gas stove. We were cooking all of our meals. I will update this if she refunds the 40 of batteries that we purchasedBesides that the dining room table and coffee table tops were not cleaned there were crumbs and fingerprints all over them. There were not six of everything in the kitchen or six chair chairs in the dining room for six guests. We ihad 2 spoons 4 forks and one broken coffee mug. we had to wash all of the skillets before use.

Great location and very peaceful. The property manager was very responsive and helpful. I needed a place close to home since we were having repairs done at our place.

A few issues

This house was in a nice location. There were a few concerns. Illegal paraphernalia in the bureau and a constant beeping smoke alarm in an area that was inaccessible to guests. Others than that, twas all good. Check in was easy and an early check in process was easy as well.

Not up to standards

Location was what we were looking for but the place was not clean. Carpets were stained, walls had holes. Felt like someone lives there and had just left for the weekend but didn’t want to clean. Counters had half used baby Tylenol bottles, cabinets had random used plastic cups, well used spices, etc. Not at all what we have experienced with other VRBO rentals.

Softball Tournament Trip

Couldn’t have picked a better house for a few of my buddies and I to stay in during our softball tournament. House is clean, in a great spot, and close to several restaurants and a golf course. Will book again next year if available.
