NEVER EVER RENT THIS PLACE!!! HORRIBLE HOST HORRIBLE COTTAGE , complete lie is what add is water smells sooo bad can't brush teeth or shower place was dirty beds were horrible fire pit was over flowing with yard waste your literally on the corner of a major highway traffic so load BBQ grill is unusable bedroom doors dont latch front door didn't latch electric wireing exposed. BEWARE!!!!! WE LEFT SPENT ONE NIGHT BECAUSE IT WAS LATE BIT GOT UP AND MOVED TO DIFFERENT HOTEL. Hostile did nothing Vrbo gave us half our money back host would not do anything . Bad business practices. Stay away!!!!

Thank you for your feedback. We regret that your stay did not meet your expectations, but we must clarify the facts regarding your visit. The porch light wire was safely secured with insulated wire nuts high out of reach during ongoing exterior updates. We offered a same-day service call to cover it, but you declined. Bedroom door: The door latches properly under normal use, and we received no mention of this issue during your stay. Propane grill: The grill is safe to use and functions correctly; the grease management system is intact as designed by the manufacturer. We promptly addressed all your concerns and offered active solutions during your stay. We also offered to let you check out early with clear instructions, but you chose to stay and later left this review.

Great location close to Torch Lake and Charlevoix. The cottage had everything we needed although we didn’t spend much time there because we were mostly out and about. We had a little trouble with the keypad but the host was very responsive. We would stay again if we want to be close to torch lake but it was a little pricey compared to other places we have stayed up north.

Cottage Camping. Our grandchildren wanted us to go camping so they went camping across the street

Our Son and his family went camping across the street from our cottage at Barnes park camp grounds. Great family trip. Our cottage was great! Definitely my kind of camping. Very nice cottage. Would stay again and recommend it to friends and others.

My wife and I have loved Northern Michigan our entire lives. With our five boys and one girl, we've spent countless summers and winters here, making the most of everything this beautiful area has to offer as a family. Whether it's fishing, swimming, boating, golfing, skiing, or simply searching the shoreline for Petoskey Stones, we've created unforgettable memories. We're thrilled to share our cottage with guests who want to create their own special moments with loved ones.

This cottage is nestled in a truly unique location. Just a short walk away, you can spend the day on the pristine, crystal-clear waters of Torch Lake or bask in the sun on the beautiful sandy beach of Grand Traverse Bay at Barnes Park. Next door, enjoy great food, drinks, and live music at the Torch Lake Café. With so much to see and do in the area, adventure awaits. After a day of exploring, unwind in our newly remodeled cottage and gather around the backyard campfire to share memories under the stars.

Great Location!! Walk to Torch Lake or Lake Michigan's Grand Traverse Bay! Across the street from boat launch for Torch Lake. Park your boat and trailer right at the cottage. Take a walk over to Barnes Park with it's beautiful beach on Grand Traverse Bay. Listen to live music while your enjoying dinner and drinks at the Torch Lake Cafe next door. Two golf courses within a 10 min drive. The cottage sits between the lake towns of Charlevoix and Elk Rapids which both boast lots of great shopping. Visit the local wineries including "Cellar 1914 " two miles down the road. Even take a day trip to Traverse City and visit the Sleeping Bear Dunes. This area is also a winter wonderland with it's skiing at local resorts like Shanty Creek & Schuss Mountain. There is also excellent ice fishing and snowmobiling around Torch Lake.
