The Silver Strand - Beautifully designed Bayfront Vacation Rental located at the southern end of Sandbridge.



The Silver Strand was completely remodeled in 2022. This 4000 sq ft home sleeps 18 with 7 bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms, an office, 2 kitchens, 2 living rooms, both ocean and bay views, multiple decks, dock, 2 kayaks, and a large pool.



The Silver Strand is the perfect escape. Enjoy ocean sunrises and bay sunsets, gaze at the stars and listen to the peaceful heart beat of nature.



The Silver Strand is ideally located towards the south end of Sandbridge... it’s walking distance from the only two restaurants in the area, bring your bikes and ride through the famous Back Bay wildlife refuge, walk to the fishing pier or play at the park, the location couldn’t be better.



We do require a $500 damage deposit hold to the CC on file 48 hours prior to your arrival. Exterior security cameras are present overlooking the driveway / front yard / front door entryway

My family (15 people total) had a wonderful stay at Silver Strand. Having two kitchens was super convenient as we cooked a lot, the beds are really comfortable, and the hosts were available to answer questions as they came up during our visit. It's hard to tell in the photos, but the pool is fully fenced off from the rest of the deck and yard so I didn't have to worry about my toddler getting to it by herself. There's a lovely view of the sunset over the bay in the evening.

Our group was a more mature group and the house more than accommodated our needs. The house was spacious and had multiple spaces to hangout as a large group, smaller group or as individuals looking for a quiet space. The two kitchens were great there was easy access to the beach.

Family Gathering

We were a family group of 11; ages 21-80. We had plenty of space for everyone both as a group and for quiet, personal space. The stairs to enter the house and the ones to get upstairs were difficult for my mother but she was able to manage. The two kitchens were really nice and well stocked. The bedrooms were comfortable and the bathrooms were good. Sadly, we could not use the beautiful pool because it’s January. We enjoyed the views from the house and walking on the beach which was nearby. We would love to visit again in warmer weather.

Silver Strand is a beautiful house and very comfortable. We had everything we needed. There was so many places for our group to relax and enjoy Sandbridge. It is a short walk to the ocean and right on the sound. We all want to return!

Enjoyable and Tranquil

Twelve men traveling from different parts of the country came together for a joyous occasion at Virginia Beach. We had the opportunity to stay at this luxurious house, which provided excellent amenities for an exciting weekend. The rooms, and premises were very clean and well kept. Quiet neighborhood and an abundance of stores in the area. We would be remiss in not mentioning that the beach was only 1 block away. We had a great time during our visit and are looking forward to our return next year.

Our First Family Vacation Was a Win!

My family and I decided that this year we were going to plan our first big family vacation before the summer ended. As we were looking on Vrbo for a house to stay at, Silver Strand showed up and we could not keep our eyes off of it. It was the perfect home, really close to the beach and although they don’t allow pets, l asked the Hosts if they would allow me to bring my one year old mini poodle and they did, which I was so happy about. We had adults, teens. a 7-yr old and two twin babies and I can say that we ALL enjoyed the house to the fullest. The pool was a favorite of all the guest in the house, we would hop into the pool at all times of the day!! The home is exactly as what is shown in the pictures. It’s clean, they had essential items for cooking incase you forgot to bring something and in the bathrooms too. We’re so happy to have had our first family vacation at Silver Strand, it was the best! We’ll definitely be planning to come back next summer.

The property is nice and large. Everyone had their own room for privacy, yet plenty of living space to do things together. Has a great dining area for everyone to enjoy, as well as many decks and patios. Great pool with shallow area for little ones, and a dock to go kayaking or fishing, if you choose. The ocean is only a block away.

Daughter's Wedding Weekend

Our stay at the SILVER STRAND was exceptional! The layout of the house is great for a large family get together! The house was immaculate, and the location was perfect! Great place for families

We had a wonderful time at the Silver Strand traveling with our families including 3 kids, ages 2-6. Our favorite was the truly perfect beach in the morning and then relaxing by the pool all afternoon! The pool has a few “levels” which are perfect for kids. Everything was easily accessible and the house has all amenities you could ask for- fully equipped kitchens, new grill, kids toys/books, Ninja blender, coffee and keurig. The owners were very responsive when we had a problem with the garbage. It is a bit of a walk to the beach but the owners provide a beach cart which makes it easier. Plenty of space for everyone in the house and multiple decks! If you are a sensitive sleeper, be sure to bring your own pillows as they are a bit flat. Other than that trivial detail- a truly wonderful place to stay in Sandbridge!

We had a fabulous time with friends and family over the holiday weekend. What a great home to stay in! Lots of room, right on canal, and we loved the pool. Hosts were absolutely wonderful- good communication and answered all our questions quickly. Highly recommend to travelers!

My wedding party and I stayed here before my wedding

My wedding party and I stayed here leading up to my wedding. I had a wedding party of 6 close friends and family and we stayed at this house the days leading up to my wedding and the wedding party stayed there the night of the wedding. The house was beautiful, had more than enough space and the location was perfect for our Pungo wedding. The morning after our wedding was a bit slow moving and I messed up the checkout time (checkout is at 10, NOT 11) but Chris & Cat and their cleaners were kind and were able to work around us while we did our best to pack up and get out of their hair. Would highly recommend a stay here for anyone visiting the Sandbridge area or looking for a relaxing spot to spend time with friends and family.
