It appears that both received lower review, due to you bringing a extra guest. We do stay across the street in a place that is facing away from our rental home, the view of the house is blocked by a car port, except one small corner of the street side of the house. We do meet with guest when arrive to get rental agreement signed. When we go out on Torch Lake on our boat we will stop by to see if our guest are outside on lake only once in the guest visit. If they are, we ask if everything is going well and if they need anything to call us. We do meet before they leave if the guests want to recieve the refundable deposit at check out, instead of them wanting until they recieve it by mail. Other then that, we respect the privacy of guests.

These renters ripped out all the pages of the house journal from the past two and was not able to find any of the pages. I could have not rated this guest but thought that I should warn future hosts of his behaviors. It appears both of our rating went down because he lied about only having 2 dogs at check in. In fact, he had a third dog, a puppy that wasn't was not potty trained. House rules state only 2 dogs and no dogs under 1 yr old. The puppy was found when I came to the house to leave him know that they could stay an additional night that they asked about at check the day prior. The door was completely open when I walked up to door frame. Informed the renter girlfriend as the renter was not present about the extra night when I noticed the puppy. Explained to the girlfriend that the puppy and the number of dogs was violation of the house rules. That an additional pet fee would be added the pet fee the renter agreed to on arrival for the 2 dogs that where not placed on the booking. Then I look over and saw that they did not place the blanket on the new leather couch, that I asked them the night prior to place a blanket over the couch as I originally did not know they were bringing dogs. Instructed them on the location of the blanket. Noticed that not only no blanket on couch but was covered in sand and soaked with water. It was apparent that the door was open to the dogs could go into the water through the sand and allowed to jump on the couch. that is when a stepped into house asked the girlfriend if I could go in and she nodded that I could go into the house, then went into the bathroom to get a towel to wipe of the sand and water and applied to the bedroom to get the blanket and was give the OK. Placed the blanket on the couch then left. In my rental agreement I am able to come the home if damage is being done to the property and they were letting my couch be damaged by the dogs. Then received a threating call from the renter yelling and cursing at me, then he hung up. He never paid for any of the dogs or the refundable security deposit. Other house rules broken 1- tied boat up to dock, 2-moved the furniture around on wooden floor in the living room. 3-Left after checking out time (found poop on floor from the puppy, refrigerator not cleaned out and garbage full). He either did not read the rental agreement he signed upon arrival or agreed to on VRBO. All the house rules are verbally reviewed with renters. I guess he thought the rules do not apply to him. The rest of his review is fabrication.
