Welcome to Beachwood Escape! This 4 bedroom 2 bathroom ranch-style home is nestled behind the sand dunes of Lake Michigan in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood. The home has been completely renovated and is ready for you and your family to enjoy and make lasting memories. Guests will love the spacious bedrooms, which hold 2 king beds, 1 queen bed, and 2 sets of bunk beds. The home comfortably sleeps 10 guests. All bedrooms have smart TV’s. Enjoy the fully stocked kitchen with cooking basics, a coffee bar with Keurig and drip coffee maker, all new appliances, separate laundry area, 2 full size refrigerators, and a grill. Appreciate the unique Tree Carving art on the property. Pack up the provided beach gear and take an easy 5 minute stroll to the sandy beach of Lake Michigan at Peré Marquette. Wonderful sisters' trip location!

This home is the best rental we have found for our yearly sisters' trip! The location is ideal and the home was equipped beyond our expectations. Lisa was such a welcoming and gracious host. Late on a Saturday afternoon, after checking in with us by text message, we asked about borrowing a pan, and she brought one over promptly, eliminating the need for us to go out and buy one. Just one of the many little extras! I hope this home is available when we are back in the area!

Blown away by this stay!!

My family (grandparents, 2 adults, and 2 kids 5 and under) stayed here for a week in the summer. We had the best time at this stay and the house was a huge part of that. The house was comfortable, spacious, and had everything we needed. We especially loved the back yard that the kids basically lived in when they weren’t at the nearby playground or the beach. The house has a great location on a quiet street near the beach. Lisa, the host, was a great communicator and gave us tons of suggestions for things to do and places to check out. We went to Lewis farm on her recommendation and loved it!

Wonderful house in Muskegon

We loved the house! It had everything we needed for a wonderful family vacation. It was a short walk from Pere Marquette Park and the famous Muskegon sand dunes. It was right near the bike path, which we used to ride to North Muskegon. We used the fire pit to relax outside. We used the large gas grill. The house was clean and well furnished. We hope to come back again next summer and would definitely stay there again.

Perfection in Muskegon

Wow! Lisa has truly thought of everything to turn this vacation rental in to a home for visitors. The home is perfectly maintained and feels warm and welcoming. The guest binder has all information laid out in an easy to understand way and gives you a great starting point for exploring the area. She answered any questions we had promptly and even made sure to go above and beyond when I was concerned about the lack of recycling. The furniture is all comfortable. The decor is lovely. The kitchen is well stocked with all you need to make home cooked meals during your stay. We also loved that there was a wide selection of bikes to choose from along with indoor and outdoor games to play. I confidently give this property and its hosts a 5 star rating.

Our family had the pleasure of staying at the Beachwood-Escape over 4th of July weekend. Lisa is a super star host. Her house is immaculate and has all the comforts of your own home. Great location, house and hosts!

The house is well appointed and in a great location. From the house it is a very short walk (10 min max) to a not crowded, and beautiful public Lake MI beach. The house itself had everything you would need for a day at the beach and an evening grill afterward. It comfortably fit my extended family. And last but certainly not least, our hosts were accessible and responsive to any questions or needs. It was a great place to stay!

First Family Vacation

To say we enjoyed our stay was an understatement! We took our first family vacation and brought my parents along for the ride. We all had so much fun! The neighborhood was the best fit for my young children to enjoy the park and have fun in the backyard with the games provided. Made lots of core memories with my family at the beach for the kid's first time at a beach and got lots of sun. We enjoyed the live band at The Deck for dinner one the nights and my oldest got a guitar pick from the lead singer!!! Overall it was literally the best place for our first vacation and we can't wait to come back next year (or later this year!!). The owners were a delight and very responsive when we needed something or when they provided some fun activities for us to do. I can't wait to book again soon! Fabulous VRBO so close to the beach!

This was a fabulous property and a wonderful long weekend away. We had our family of four plus a set of grandparents with us for the weekend, and this property was great for that - the master suite was on the opposite side of the house from the rest of the bedrooms, so the grandparents could have their own space and bathroom while we still had a king size bed and the hallway with the kiddos bedrooms all in one place too. The location close to the beach is perfect, and the hosts could not have been nicer or easier to communicate with. The house has all you need to have a nice day at the beach, and is so well appointed, clean, comfortable, etc. Really so nice - we want to come back! Great stay.

Perfect in all ways

If I could give this property 6 stars, I would! Beautifully updated and decorated, this house had all the personal touches that made us feel right at home. My college friends and I enjoyed our time together with plenty of space for almost all of us to have our own bedroom, yet it still managed to feel very cozy. We enjoyed a walk on the beach (very close) and enjoyed the fire pit in the private backyard. I highly recommend this property. I know a few of us plan to return.

The property was exactly as listed - great location with an easy walk to the park and beach. Perfect for families!

We booked this property as a sort of staycation for 2 somewhat local families and it was perfect. A short drive from GR and a world away. The proximity to the beach and the nearby playground were unbeatable for the littles and we are big fans of the Muskegon scene in general (as compared to other Lake Michigan beach towns). The house itself was spotless (you could literally smell how clean it was upon arrival) and the amenities were awesome. Helpful baby items, games, camp chairs for the backyard, lots of dishes, new/quality appliances, comfy bedding, etc. You can tell that Matt and Lisa put a lot of thought into making this property a special vacation destination.

Fun Family Celebration

Great house! So much fun to hang out in the backyard and play games with the family which ranged 10-80 years old. It was a quick walk to the beach and offered some great morning runs. The bikes that were available were a nice bonus which allowed us to bike to The Deck to listen to live music.

We grew up in the metro Detroit area and started our family there. We took a long drive to Grand Haven/ Muskegon area on our first wedding anniversary before we ended up in Traverse City. We immediately fell in love with Lake Michigan and its shore line. We dreaded the next day when we returned to life and work and discussed how we could return to the shoreline on a more permanent basis.

Three years after our first trip there together we developed a plan to make the move. A business opportunity cemented our move. At the age of 6 months, we moved our first daughter to West Michigan's Lakeshore and haven't looked back. Our second daughter was born here and we fondly refer to her as the only Muskegonite in the family.

Beach days happened every day in the summer. "A bad day at the beach is better than a good day at work." was the motto and continues to this day. We learned how to surf and body board in the waves Lake Michigan has to offer. This area has so much to offer every season.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

Originally from the metro Detroit area, we fell in love with the ocean-like beauty of Lake Michigan. This property was the closest we could find to the the big lake and passed it every time we had a family beach day. The park that boasts tennis/ pickleball courts, a large jungle gym, basketball courts and two toboggan runs in the winter is on the way to the sandy beach of Lake Michigan. The memories we've made for our family have become an everyday occurrence.

Beachwood Escape's proximity to the vacation happenings of West Michigan are second to none all year round! Summer allows the beach bum to dip their toes in the sand and work on the perfect tan while cooling themselves off in the pristine waters of Lake Michigan just a 5 minute walk from the property. Michigan's Adventure, and Lewis Farms are an easy 20 minute car ride. Muskegon Lake, just 5 minutes in the opposite direction of Lake Michigan, offers boat rentals and tours of the lakes. One can tour a WWII submarine docked along the channel.

The autumn is a wonderful time to witness the color change of leaves along the lakeshore deep within a dune's forest. Sportsmen can enjoy the bounty of the lakes all year round from an angler's perspective. Salmon charters are available and walleye fishing in Muskegon Lake are some of the state's finest spots.

Winter along the lakeshore brings icebergs and winter storms that are an amazing spectacle to behold. Watch as waves crash against the ice shelf driving white water 30 feet in the air. The Winter Sports Complex offers many winter activities and is about a 30 minute car drive. People enjoy the Olympic qualifying ice luge, ice skating through a lit up wooded scene, snow tubing and cross country skiing.
