Our Great Lake Retreat Villa is situated mere minutes from all Port Clinton activities such as Fishing, Boating, Eats & Drinks, Night Life, Beaches, Lighthouses, Family Fun & more!
Close to: Cedar Point & The Lake Erie Islands (Put In Bay / Kelleys Island ), Marblehead and Port Clinton Lighthouses, Birdwatching and multiple State Parks.
With a mix of Farmhouse Inspiration throughout, we've added some subtle Nautical flare to the home and created Port Clinton's lone Great Lake Escape Pool Home / Villa, and believe the Guest House is a GREAT addition vs. a standard vacation rental. The Guest House allows multiple families to enjoy additional privacy vs. standard rentals, or a place for Mom/Dad or Grandpa/Grandma to either escape from the grandkids....or to simply turn in early.

The home is open concept with the Master Bedroom, Dining Area and Kitchen off the Pool/Patio side of the home. This is very relaxing, providing the kind of views your family hopes for on vacation.
Beds are comfortable and rooms are simple to relax in, with the Queen bedroom in the main home offering leisurely reading options and even a few lotions throughout the year.
Having 2.5 baths across the 2 Living Spaces (Main House + Guest House) provides ample opportunity to prepare for the day, and to refreshen up after a long day enjoying the area, with the privacy everyone expects from home (even while sharing a vacation rental).
The GEM is the Outdoor area. The Dry Dock area (patio) and In ground pool provide SOOOO much room to spread out and enjoy the fun and the sun.
The Guest House is a bonus that cannot be overlooked. It provides a separate living space for any couple in your family. Young or Old, some simply like the seclusion and will enjoy being able to turn in early for the night. Guest home is located just off the pool, and is a full amenity (Full Kitchen / Full Bath ) offering. FULL AC of course in the Guest House as well!

Home is equipped with the following Surveillance cameras, fully disclosed locations and monitoring areas as agreed by all VRBO Hosts:
1. Front Ring Doorbell (coverage includes the entire front entryway)
2. Ring Floodlight Camera mounted above garage (coverage area includes the main parking area from main parking by the Main Home's garage area, to the road monitoring all vehicles entering the property from the street)
3. Ring Cam mounted outside on the Pool/Patio area (1 ring camera - located at entry point to the back patio on the fence - Cameras positioned to cover the back patio area / pool area and Guest House Entry).

Jack Daniel's Bar is set up with its own 42" TV (equipped with Nintendo Switch this season!). A few classic games provided, and feel free to bring your own. We'll off the Nintendo Switch until Guests don't properly care for the unit. This area is quite relaxing (see pics). Great place for some family bonding, stream your favorite team on ESPN APP.....or just grab a drink with the fellas, or the Misses!
Full Kitchen with everything you'll need with few exceptions (if there's something missing.....let us know, we may add it for your next stay!)

Very cool and clean, but keep in mind we're offering this unique experience in a Country Setting. Dad will likely want to skim the pool in the morning to keep it crisp and clean during your stay (not necessary, but we do have the same things floating in the air as any other country setting (bugs, leafs, pollen or even an occasional Mayfly).
Please Please Please - follow those pool rules. We want you to have a great stay, but not at the expense of anyone's safety. No Children in pool without adult supervision. Let’s repeat that, children must be supervised at all times while swimming.

Weber Grill to let the Master Chef show off his skills. Grilling Utensils in both the Main Home and Pool House.
Grounds - We would love to see folks enjoying the property, we only ask that you stay clear of the Pole barn as it represents part of the home upkeep and Maintenance (Lawncare etc), and that area is not part of your stay.
Front porch, front and side yards are great for a walk or for the kids to burn off some energy!
We are located less than 1 mile from the PC City limits, a hop, skip and jump from the home!
BONUS - NO Direct NEIGHBORS (closest being a few hundred yards away with an empty lot between their property and ours...... play your music, entertain and play around in the pool and play your music at your level! (no direct neighbors to bother).
Short drive down the road to Jolly Rogers (for Perch and Walleye!) and Slaters Food and Spirits, The Jet Express (to Put In Bay) as well as our local Port Clinton shops!
Enjoy places like "Ala Carte", "Northern Exposure" (great gift shop) as well as places like "The GristMill", "The Bait House", "Docks Beach House", "Bootleggers", "McCarthy's Irish Pub" and "Slaters Food and Spirits"!

You're about 2 miles from downtown Port Clinton, and a Beautiful walk along the Lake Erie Shores! I recommend spending an evening on foot, seeing where your feet decide to take you!
Hop in your car for a Short Drive to the Marblehead Lighthouse (15 mins), Cedar Point (25 mins) and all the fishing options you could possibly want (plenty of on shore spots for Dad / Daughter fishing days, and those who simply like to walk and cast. I'm an avid fishermen, just ask!

This particular Pool & Guest House property was of interest to me personally, prior to my hosting journey which began in 2021. Heading into Season 4 and we continue to host the property as a unique offering for those heading into the Port Clinton area, and either require or prefer an added layer of privacy. There's swimming in a pool with opening and closing hours + a dozen other people....then there's enjoying your own private pool experience.
Unique in nature, the area does not offer many homes like this, and we're both excited and take great pride in offering this to our Guests! We choose privacy and comfort on our own vacations, and are now proud to offer something similar here in Port Clinton, Ohio.

We offer A country setting, offering both a 1400 sq/ft Main Home, then a fully separate Private Guest House (with full bath, kitchen and laundry and Cold Central AC!!)
The Country setting and Pool/Patio area are amazing. You'll dip in the pool, drink from the patio and if lucky, watch deer/rabbits and even some peacocks etc, walk leisurely across the back of the property while you relax in the pool (or on the spacious patio). The sunsets can be amazing, better than we'd hoped when we bought the property (we purchased in the Winter....then realized the gorgeous country views when we opened that Summer!).
Unique design and opportunity for families wanting to enjoy something a bit different....some telling us "we eat/sleep/hang here all day". With so much to do in the area, many love to get away from the home for a few hours at a time, then let the kids put more energy into some pool time! Fun Fact - children that swim longer, sleep longer....and everyone sleeps good!
Tons of parking just off the main highway, and just outside of city Limits. No close neighbors to cramp your style or use of the home. Play music. Be yourselves. Have fun enjoying one of, if not THE only Private Pool Home offering in Port Clinton.

The Country setting and Pool/Patio area are amazing. You'll dip in the pool, drink from the patio and if lucky, watch deer/rabbits and even some peacocks etc, walk leisurely across the back of the property while you relax in the pool (or on the spacious patio). The sunsets can be amazing, better than we'd hoped when we bought the property (we purchased in the Winter....then realized the gorgeous country views when we opened that Summer!).
Unique design and opportunity for families wanting to enjoy something a bit different....some telling us "we eat/sleep/hang here all day". With so much to do in the area, many love to get away from the home for a few hours at a time, then let the kids put more energy into some pool time! Fun Fact - children that swim longer, sleep longer....and everyone sleeps good!
Tons of parking just off the main highway, and just outside of city Limits. No close neighbors to cramp your style or use of the home. Play music. Be yourselves. Have fun enjoying one of, if not THE only Private Pool Home offering in Port Clinton.
