Apalachicola Oyster House, new Dock

Fish camp studio style, pet friendly rustic beach cottage & former Oyster house refinery on the bay with a new dock w/ plenty of parking for your boat/trailer. There are crab traps at the dock that you can bait. We have a Yamaha gas powered golf cart that is available to rent for $40 a day as Apalachicola is a golf cart friendly town. Smoking is not allowed inside, but is allowed outside. Please keep the discarded butts from the yard please. ****😀 Amenities include a picnic table, Weber grill, and fire pit with Adirondack chairs and a yard swing for enjoying your time outside. The yard is large with a tropical feel with tropical foliage overlooking the bay. Conveniently located 1 mile from shopping and restaurants downtown.
******PETS****
House trained , well behaved fur babies stay for $25 (one charge for 2). Would like to keep pets at 2 max but will make considerations. The Oyster House has a nice, big yard if you have a furbaby. Just bring a tie out and a runner to keep them off of Hwy 98 as there is no fence. Please clean up waste after pups! 😀

This stay was amazing. With breath taking waterfront property with private dock to take in all the zen feels. The host was amazingly in communication and pet friendly. We saw dolphins from the dock, while we enjoyed watching the mullet jump all around us.

We had a wonderful stay. The location is unbeatable — right on the water with great crabbing and fishing from the dock, and a front‑row seat to an incredible variety of coastal birds. During our visit we saw clapper rails, black skimmers, blue, tri‑colored, and green herons, great, snowy, and cattle egrets, plus Forster’s, royal, sandwich, and least terns.The kitchen was well equipped, including a perfect pot for a crab boil. We also loved how the owner preserved the old oyster house workings in the storage and utility areas. It made the whole place feel genuinely historic and special.The host was responsive, watching the sunrise from the dock was priceless, and staying in such a unique waterfront home made this trip memorable.

The Oyster House is just what it is! Really enjoyed my stay here. It is just as described, and super clean! The kitchen has everything you need to cook your catch from the dock. Loved catching speckled trout in the afternoons when the tide came in. Very short drive to town for anything you might need. The owners are very hospitable and fun to to be around! Plan to come back soon!

Absolutely love the oyster house! Crab galore! Ran traps off the dock. The view was of back of the island and an awesome view of the big water and a cute palm off the tip of the bay. St. George lit the islands shore. Very private and convenient to many things. Not to far to go enjoy downtown in the golf cart. Will be back.

Great place to stay

My husband and I have a great time! It’s wasPerfect for us. We spent our time boating and downtown walking through all the shops. Very clean and decorated perfectly. Can’t wait to spend another weekend this summer.

This place has such potential, however, owners are in another state, and it isn’t being managed to a level suitable for a rental property. Trash in yard which is blown from busy and LOUD Hwy. 98. Windows so dirty you can’t see the view of the bay, which is the only reason to stay here. All the screens are ripped, can’t open any windows to get a breeze. The pipes froze and broke the day before our arrival. No water, chaotic, to say the least. The owner was diligent in getting the pipes repaired. We never did have water pressure during our entire stay.

IIt is unfortunate that the oyster house did not meet up to your expectations, but we do have a great acceptance rating based on opinions of many others who have stayed here. My apologies that there was freezing weather before your trip that froze the pipes. As for the water pressure, , you did not inform us. There was any further issues so we had no way of knowing there were still problems. The housekeeper notified me after you left and that is how we knew there were still issues because the oyster house has great water pressure. Had we known we would’ve had it promptly fixed.. We do not have the windows open for a reason. Salty humid Air causes the appliances to rust and it’s not good for the house interior. If you read other reviews, no one else has any issues being able to see the beautiful view from the windows. This is the first time I’m ever hearing such a comment.
