Adirondack Cabin at Cramer's Point Lake George w/ lake access sleeps 5-6

Our most popular cozy two bedroom wood cabin located close to the lake at the Cramer's Point Lake Breeze family resort property in Lake George, this stand alone rustic Adirondack style cottage has its own deck with Solo Fire Stove, relaxing chairs and patio dining set. Inside are a full kitchen & living room with vaulted ceilings and pine beams and walls. One bedroom has a queen bed, the other has a twin bunk bed over a queen sized lower bed, perfect for yound and old. This cabin sleeps 5-6. A traditional bathroom as designed in the 1940s provides a stand up (32") shower (bathroom is a smaller size typical of the era and an Adirondack cabin). Quietly and efficiently heat and A/C with a new heat pump mini split unit. Enjoy lawn games, a fire and lazy chairs. Relax at either of our 2 pools or at the lake access point. Row boats and canoe available for our guests to enjoy, and on property games such as horse shoes, shuffle board and corn hole add to the fun. We are very near to the lake, located on the east (lake) side of Lakeshore Drive, about 500' from the lake. We have deeded access via a trail down (and back up!) the hillside, which leads to an approximately 125' space with an authentic natural Adirondack Lake front with gorgeous views, water access and several canoes & rowboats that we provide for our guests at no additional charge (in-season). Please note that there is no vehicular access, and that walking up and down the trail is required. We let our Guests know that this is not a "sandy beach" as found on the oceans / sounds, but rather a mountain shoreline. It is a beautiful spot to bring a chair and take it all in, enjoy the sound of the water, take a dip or explore the bay in our complimentary boats.

The cabin was clean, nice and has a nice view. The walk to the beach is short and the view was amazing from the beach. The host was very helpful and checked in to see if we needed anything else for our stay. For the short time we were there we didnt have time to enjoy everything but definitely would be back and would recommend.

Perfect little cottage. Definitely no-frills, but that’s all we were looking for. The full kitchen was great to have and we ended up cooking and bbqing for a few meals. Very clean and close to town. Only downside is that it was dark and needed more lighting. Would stay here again!

Thank you Jaime, we appreciate your patronage and your kind words. Regarding lighting, cabin 22 has a ceiling fan / light and wall sconces in the living room and full lighting in the kitchen. I think you may be referring to the bedrooms which also have soaring cathedral log ceilings, bedside lamps, but with no wall cavities for wiring. We DO have this on our list for after we close in the fall to create a way to include overhead lighting here! Cheers, Todd

Labor day at the lake

Property was quiet, cute and conveniently located 15 min from the village and a short walk down to the lake. Priced reasonably for the amenities. Would definitely consider staying at again in the future.

Cute Cabin for a Nice Getaway

We really enjoyed the laid back feel of this property and got the cabin feeling without being in the middle of nowhere. Our only issues were that we were under the impression the laundry was in-unit, it's not, and the water temperature could scald if you put it too hot, so we didn't trust our young kids to touch the sinks or shower without supervision. We also got our check-out information two hours after we left, but it ended up being fine because we did everything on the list that they asked. All in all, nice spot!

Hi Christina and future Guests. Thank you for staying with us! I just wanted to address the two concerns that you raised in your review and rating, but did not raise during your stay. For clarity, we are a very responsive cabin and resort host, and wish for all of our Guests to enjoy what they feel is a 5-star experience. It is very important to us that our Guests share any concern that they may have during their stay, however large or small. We want to improve anything that may be within our power to do so, while you are with us, rather than after you are gone! Just a couple of notes in response: Washer/dryer - We do not know why this appeared in the listing, and it was removed. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. This cabin has never had the ability to add a washer & dryer. We are sorry for this (new listing) error that was not yet caught by anyone. However, I have guest laundry available should you have needed it during your short stay, but unfortunately, I was not aware of your need. Just ask - we will help! With respect to Hot water: We have hosted approximately 20 families with little children this season. None have expressed any concern about the hot water heater (standard LP gas unit, like in a home), nor have we noted "scalding" hot water. However, each person may feel differently. If you felt uncomfortable, we would have been happy to make a quick and easy adjustment on the heater (set on "standard" right now). Please in the future - tell us your concerns, so that we and our staff may have the opportunity to earn a 5-star review by giving you a 5-star experience! Thank you again, Todd & Leigh.

I felt like it was sold to me online different than what was actually presented. The water pressure in the shower was horrible. There was no plug in the bathroom and that should've been told. There was a light in the kitchen that we could not turn off at any time with any switch. There were several lights that didn't work at all.We did enjoy our visit and made the best of it but there were definitely some small issues.

Cabin 22 is great. The state of the art air condition/heater was huge. Just check the outlet under the wall air conditioner. No power. A ceiling fan with a light would be a nice add as the bedrooms are a little dark. Vaulted ceilings were a big deal as it opened up the cabin. Kitchen was well equipped. Check the toaster. Not working. A knife sharper would be a great add to sharpen the knives. Very nice refrigerator. Bathroom was no problem. No shortage of water or hot water. The deck and fire pit were great. 2 solar lights on each end of the "step up" to the pit area would add light as it could be a trip hazard. 2 pools, 1 heated was very nice. The walk to the lake was exactly as advertised. Great little bay view. There were 10 boats (row boat, canoe's and kayaks). Plenty of life preservers. We Kayaked every day. This place is a diamond in the ruff. During the summer I imagine it would be a great place for families. We went after labor day. It was us and another 2 couples in the cabin across from us. They left on Friday. Had the entire place to ourselves for our last three days. Very peaceful and quiet. Just as I planned. I'll be looking for another stay next year same place, same time.

It’s fine…..

So, first things first……no real beach access….it’s a downhill path to a tiny spot. The place could def use a refreshing as the electric was questionable and the place hasn’t really been cleaned well in a while. Fans were nice to augment the wall unit AC but were caked in dust. Bathroom needed some cleaning and the shower is small. The place is dark! The carpets, should be torn out for a cleaner more hygienic feel and seemed old in need. Beds were comfy, fire pit was nice touch and the owners get you started with firewood. They were accommodating to early check in as we arrived almost 2 hours early. Overall, ok pool which we didn’t take part in. Overall an ok stay just 2 miles out of the main town

Hello Mike, thank you for staying with us. We can likely all agree that informational reviews can be helpful to potential guests looking to learn more about the features and benefits of a property, if they are objective and helpful. Personal preference has a place, but, should not be used as fodder to tear down a family's business. With respect to this Guest’s stay, it would have been wonderful to chat about any concerns while they visited with us, as we do with almost all of our customers, rather than to hear about them in such a negative forum. There was every opportunity to simply talk with us like the real human beings and hosts that we are, and perhaps ask for a different accommodation if this one did not meet their expectations. A traditional rustic Adirondack cabin is not for everyone. It also should not be compared to new and modern hotels or homes. While we appreciate and take to heart all of our Guests’ comments, these in particular seem designed to denigrate the property, rather than to inform a potential customer. Dozens of families enjoyed this cabin this summer, along with all of our others, yet a VRBO customer provided the first review that dissects the property for what it does not offer rather than for what it does. Cabins built in the 1940’s did not have a focus on large bathrooms as a feature. They remain the same style and size, regardless of upgrades. This cannot be helped, and, seems a strange criteria upon which to rate a camping cabin. We do not advertise "large sandy beach" and it is unfair to rate our waterfront access accordingly. Artificial beaches are accessible by the public within a few minutes in both directions. Ours is a gorgeous spot from which to view and enjoy the lake, based on the size that you expected, rather than what it is. We neither own the property, nor can make changes to it. And, we did not make any claim as to size. However, this waterfront area, part of the land included with a $2 million dollar private home, is an average size shoreline on arguably the most exclusive and expensive lake in the Northeast. This Guest enjoyed access to this for $249/night, rather than a $2mm investment. Our description is 100% accurate, and reminds possible guests that we are on a hillside, and trail is down that hill to the water, and that it requires a hike up and down about a 500' hike from the property. This is plainly described in the listing details, in at least two places. Each unit is cleaned prior to our Guests arrival. A large cabin such as this takes approximately 3 hours to complete, and we thoroughly dispute such comments as "bathroom could use a cleaning" and the "carpets must be torn out". This comment in particular is simple hyperbole. Again, this cabin should be reviewed in the context of other cabins of this vintage and style. We agree that flooring upgrades are always a wonderful addition, and, are in the plan for us here. We have made many upgrades this year, and continue to do so. We have received no complaints that having carpet (like many other properties do!) is "unsanitary". Last, and most puzzling, is the comment that the pool was "ok" and not used. We have two pools on property, which receive loads of use by young and old, and are in wonderful condition with sparkling clear water. One is solar heated, the other is not, offering a choice for each person's preference. It seems that the choice of not one but two pools were not enough for this guest at $249/night. We are unaware of any “electrical concerns” and question how this guest would know the mechanical design of the property, or why he would endeavor to comment upon it. As to box fans, we offered several, and it is possible that the older older models were dusty inside - for that, we apologize. That said, there were two brand new tower fans, clean as a whistle just out of the box also located in this cabin. We also could have been asked to take them apart and clean them, were they preferred. We are very responsive to our Guests concerns, they have only to share them with us.

We are a family cabin resort business. We operate the property alongside our children, and we do so with pride! Cramer's Point carries on in the Adirondack family vacation tradition enjoyed by generations of visitors who come to spend time with family and friends relaxing, playing games and enjoying good old fashioned summer vacation by the Lake.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

We believe in keeping the tradition alive! Adirondack style mom-and-pop resorts are no longer being built and we believe in bringing new life to a time honored property and traidtion of family and friends gathering in one of the most beautiful regions in the USA, to enjoy each other's company and all that we have to offer. We are one of the lowest price properties, but offer more than nearly any other "off lake" resort, including 2 pools and access to gorgeous Lake George, and with free access to canoes and rowboats.

Das macht diese Unterkunft einzigartig

Our water front access, excellent location close to the Village of Lake George and Bolton Landing, as well as our beautiful grounds and amenities make this a great stop for your summer vacation at a fraction of the price of larger, corporate resorts.
