The property was very quiet and enjoyable to stay at. The attention to detail throughout the house added lots of charm, we will definitely be staying here the next time we are in the area!

This farmhouse is absolutely beautiful. We fell in love with everything about it. It is quiet, and the views are amazing too. We loved sitting on the porch at night looking at the stars. It was exceptionally clean and well stocked with all the amenities. The host was great. You won’t regret booking this property.

This property was so nice, it was a great location to explore the Madison County Covered Bridges. The property was clean and had everything you would need. The kitchen was well equipped. And the bathrooms were beautifully remodeled and the towels were so soft and nice. We had a group of 6 friends and never felt cramped. The beds very comfortable. The only thing was that was an issue was we arrived at night and had difficult finding where you were to park. The parking area was near the mailbox but there was grass in the gravel so at night it was hard to see.

Beautiful, spacious & clean! We stayed in June, the weather was hot, but the A/C units worked great. The sunsets were gorgeous, and we had a fun lightning storm to watch during our stay. We had a fire, played games & took full advantage of the porch swing. We drove a few minutes into winterset for shopping & eating. Pizza Hut delivered, too.

Beautiful farmhouse, wide open countryside, lovely front porch with swing, super comfy beds and plenty of space. Super well stocked with coffee, paper towels, toilet paper, charcoal and fluid, bug spray and swatters!! Tons of pots, pans, glassware, plates and cutlery. Also a full supply of paper plates, bowls, napkins and plastic ware. Highly recommended.

The host was responsive and helpful. The property had most everything guests could want or need. The house was clean and spacious. The 4th bedroom is very small with twin beds. No downstairs bedroom made it difficult for one health challenged guest. Lots of rain made it impossible to use outside grill. We were warned about snakes and yes, we saw snakes inside and out. We were a short drive to Winterset and the covered bridges. We had a good time with family and enjoyed the rural setting.

Great country setting

We enjoyed our stay! The beds were comfortable, the house was clean, bathrooms were updated and great! The only thing we weren't thrilled about was the gravel roads to get to the house. The recommendation to eat at The Drift was amazing.

Fantastic Farmhouse Stay

Absolutely perfect home for my sisters and cousin. We all grew up part of our childhood on a farm, and the experience was just what we needed. Great communication, easy to find, very well stocked and organized.

My sibs and my 97 year old mom came for a family reunion and the house was perfect. It was by far the best stocked house any if us have ever stayed in. The communication with the owner was quick and kind. Thank you!

Farmhouse

The farmhouse is beautiful, fully equipped! Everything you could need, plus more, just bring your clothes and food. Comfortable beds, beautifully decorated, felt like home away from home. Love the surroundings, felt secluded yet it was a short drive to Winterset. Our family will most definitely say here again!

World class in every aspect. Very comfortable, extremely well provisioned, fantastic views, close to historical bridges, super maintained and spotless, etc. Even sat on the porch very peacefully hearing the cows mooing!

We enjoyed our stay and the farmhouse. Everything in great shapeThe only negative was dust from the road. It is terribly dry in Iowa right now and farmers are combining so dust was badWe would definitely return!

Clean and quiet

Maybe the cleanest VRBO we have been to. Very quiet property where you can enjoy the sounds of nature. Close enough to town to go grab a few things. Charm of an old farm home. Parking seemed odd for a farmstead, with no driveway. If we want a VRBO in this part of the state we will stay here again.

Our stay at the farmhouse

This was a beautifully restored and maintained farmhouse that could have been a model home. Attention to detail was evident everywhere. The house was exceptionally clean, well equipped, and had every amenity we needed throughout our stay. The welcome book was thorough, very informative, and gave us some good some good ideas for restaurants to try. I would highly recommend this farmhouse to anyone looking for a quiet country getaway.

Beautiful Farm Home!

This was a wonderful place to stay while we were in Winterset to attend a family reunion!! It’s a beautiful old farm home that has been loved and cared for over the years. So much character!! It’s very clean & comfortable. The owners have really tried to cover all bases with all the comforts of home..comfy beds, wonderful updated baths & plush towels. Beautiful covered patio to sit, relax and enjoy the sounds and beauty of nature. This is a top notch home and I would highly recommend it… you’ll love your stay!

Graduation Weekend Stay

This was a great place to stay during graduation weekend. Lots of space for four adults to get ready, a relaxing porch, and close proximity to our Van Meter family. The only hitch was our arrival. It was dark and we had a difficult time finding where to enter the property. Maybe a little more outside lighting would help. Other than that is was everything we expected!
