This updated and recently (June 2022) redecorated 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo is located in the Vista Cay Resort – the heart of the action in Orlando, minutes from the parks, and the Orange County Convention Centre.
The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the action you can rest, play or even work if you want to!

This condo is located adjacent to the clubhouse, just a few steps and you are straight into all of the amenities the Vista Cay Resort has to offer.

Fully equipped kitchen provides everything you need to eat at home.

Vista Cay Resort is right next door to the Orange County Convention Center, and less than 10 minutes away from all major theme parks, including SeaWorld, Universal Studios and Walt Disney World.

Great location, nice condo, just a few issues

I've stayed at Vista Cay several years now. This condo has been my favorite location so far. Close to the main pool and convention center, walking distance to restaurants and Walgreens. It's on the smaller side of the condos, but it's nicer than staying at a hotel. The furniture is newer and nice. The issues: Our check in email said it was unit 4XX and we struggled with the lockbox until a couple came up and were mad we were trying to get into their room. Shine was apologetic and helpful when we called. The room is on the 3rd floor in case you have the same issue. The deadbolt lock sometimes just spins and is a little tricky to get it to catch, we had some frustration getting in a few times. The patio chairs have cracks in the seats so we weren't really comfortable using them.

Very disappointed - not as advertised.

First, this unit is on the 3rd floor despite conflicting unit number in the description title so look closely at the details. But even more importantly, the unit was very dirty despite the description claiming that it was recently updated with new furnishings. The condo smells musty as you walk through the front door and that is because it is not clean and has moldy ceilings/showers, moldy AC vents, layer of dust throughout, stained rugs/carpet, dirty walls around kitchen countertops and toilets in bathrooms. Bedrooms could use ceiling fans as air is stagnant at night. We did contact Shine Villas in regard to our concerns requesting a different unit but their solution was to send the cleaning company - they did clean the AC vents but could do nothing about the mold on the bathroom ceiling, moldy grout/caulk in bathrooms/shower curtain and did not appear to clean any other areas. Shine Villas did not check back in with us after sending the cleaning crew back. Also, Shine Villas gave us a hard time about requesting 2 towels per guest as their rule is only 6 per unit/1 per guest. The only positive of this unit was the central location and comfortable beds. Overall, I definitely would not recommend this unit until the mold problem is addressed nor renting from Shine Villas.
