The cottage layout:
- Main floor has a bright and open great room with living, kitchen and dining, opening via french doors to the south facing deck. Great indoor/outdoor flow.
- Down the hall are two bedrooms, one queen, and one with 2 twins. These share a spacious full bath with large walk-in shower (rainhead + handheld).
- The entire upstairs comprises the master suite with queen bed, full bath, walk-in shower and balcony overlooking the ocean.
- Outside are two gorgeous mahogany decks, the front is peaceful with two rockers, the main, south facing deck has ample lounge seating and teak dining for 8 people. Mahogany outdoor shower.

If you are not already familiar with the island, the island's most popular 'big surf' beaches are all on the south shore. We are an easy 10-12 minute walk to the Surfside beaches; Fishermans' (my favorite), Steps, and Nobadeer. Nobadeer is popular with families who like the convenience of being able to drive their SUV right onto the beach. The home is completely stocked with beach chairs, beach towels, blankets, coolers, umbrella and more.

Notes on property:
The cottage is part of a larger property. It is on a larger, heavily wooded 3 acre parcel. Picture sort of 3 stacked one acre squares, with the cottage being on the front acre, and the main house and carriage house located toward the rear of the 3 acres. There is almost an entire wooded acre between the two dwellings. In addition, we lined the drive with 230 privet, which are now about 10' tall, so between the pines and the privet, one house is not visible from the other, nor are any other houses visible from the cottage. The layout offers ample privacy and space (for the kids to play)! The two share a drive, for only the first 15 yards, then the cottage has its own drive off to the right. Please note: the main house is at times rented separately. either by us, our family or friends. One should consider this cottage as though renting any private, one acre property.
