Surrounded by nature on a small, private lake and 2.5 acres of woods, The Chata Lodge is filled with comforts like an equipped kitchen, go plate, blankets & pillows, for the memories your family will make even when indoors. Our family’s hope in sharing our personal retreat is that your time here will renew your mind, body and spirit.

The space
The Chata Lodge is a luxury retreat nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Northern Georgia. The property sits on 2.5 acres of wooded land and overlooks a small, private lake, all while being tucked inside an intimate, gated community.

Unlike most rental spaces, we keep the cabin stocked with the things your family needs to have a magical get away and leave the day-to-day stresses behind you. You will always find a variety of complimentary K-Cups & creamers in the kitchen, real dinner and cookware, dozens of indoor and outdoor games, a single person kayak & a three person canoe by the lake, extra blankets & pillows in the bedrooms, toys for the little ones, books, and more. We even include a complimentary basket of firewood for your stay! Forgot your shampoo, lotion, or hair dryer? Relax - we provide those, too! Need to toss in some wash during your stay? Use our stainless steel washer & dryer!

Play pool, air hockey, TMNT arcade game, or darts in the game room. Enjoy corn-hole on the green, take a dip in the six person hot tub, roast s’mores around the fire pit, enjoy an outdoor picnic, or take a leisurely paddle around the private pond in our kayak or canoe! Share a romantic dinner on the master suite’s private balcony, or “rock and relax” in the rocking chairs on one of our various porches as you enjoy your morning cup of coffee.

The lodge accommodates couples and families alike with three king bedrooms for adults or teens (one king bedroom is located on the main floor), and a fourth bedroom for kids with a bunk bed, toys, stuffed animals, and DVDs. The den features four, luxury leather chairs around a two story stone fireplace, with an additional fireplace on the terrace level. A large outdoor fire pit with a bench and six brand new Adirondack chairs await outside.

Little ones are sure to enjoy the “Narnia Nook”; a secret room filled with various “treasures” off the second story loft.

Our aim was to fill every space with something that inspires, delights, comforts, or sparks curiosity. This is not just a rental cabin; we insisted on making it a special family experience!

You will have full access to the house, game room and grounds with the exception of the keeper's garage and the utility room.

Other things to note
There is abundant wildlife that shares the area with us. Deer, turkey, geese, turtles, scorpions, lizards, wild birds of every kind and even the occasional raccoon, snake, river otter or bear. It is part of what makes it so special! We just want you and the other creatures to have a good experience with one another. Be sure to follow the safety guide in the house book to avoid attracting bears and other unwanted encounters with wild creatures.

Please bring any emergency treatments for allergic reactions with you, as crawling and flying things are all around and the remote location could result in a delay in receiving medical attention. Bug spray is recommended in the summer months.

Family or corporate retreats, events, small weddings, and other special occasions are welcome! Please message us to inquire about pricing and provide us with details to best serve your needs. Sorry, but we do not allow parties, nor do we rent to people without reviews.

Pet policy: One small, house trained dog under 25lbs is welcome. Unfortunately, we cannot allow cats on the property as many people are allergic.

HOUSE RULES: Thank you for your interest in ✨The Chata Lodge!✨Your booking inquiry needs to reflect the correct number of adults, children, & pets for your stay. You must be 25 years or older to book this property. One complimentary basket of firewood is included in your stay. Any other firewood must be purchased at your own expense. Events such as small weddings and family reunions are welcome, but we do not allow personal parties. The lodge has a two story loft with a railing. If you have young children, use your discretion for your child’s safety. One small dog (under 25lbs) is welcome for a small pet fee. Additional dogs may be considered for an additional fee. No cats due to allergies. Any damage caused by pets will be your responsibility. All animals must be vaccinated and on flea/tick prevention. Smoking of ANY kind is prohibited (including vaping). Fires may only occur in designated areas. Firearms & weapons of any kind are prohibited. The Chata is located on a small body of water and also has a hot tub. By booking, you accept that all activities are “at your own risk.” As the home is located in a remote location, animals & critters should be expected by guests. “Acts of God” such as harsh weather, power outages, appliance failures, etc, are considered out of the hands of the host and host shall not be held liable. The host will be available from 9am-9pm and will always work to correct any issue as best as possible. Failure to comply with House Rules will result in the end of your stay and possible fines. This is a privately owned and operated property, and we expect our guests to treat our home with respect. We love it, and we know you will, too! We do not rent to guests without reviews nor do we allow personal parties. A separate rental agreement is required. As always, guests are responsible for any damage to the home or land.
