The Carter Cottage
"Cedar Grove" consists of several furnished corporate rental cottages of stays 30 days or longer.
The Carter Cottage is one of the homes on the property, fondly named after the family who previously lived here for many years. The Carters raised several generations here, and we are excited to continue this legacy and provide a space for other families to make memories here at their home away from home!
Guests will enter the space through the covered porch on the side of the home. Guests will find themselves in the quaint kitchen, which has been updated with modern amenities. Through the kitchen, guests will walk into the dining room with a designated workspace in order to work from home. The cozy living room is just off the dining room, where you can curl up with a good book in front of the fireplace (for ambiance or heat!). The home provides guests with two bedrooms, which are directly across the hall from each other. A small bathroom completes the space.
Bedroom 1: Sleeps 2 in a king-size bed.
Bedroom 2: Sleeps 2 in queen size bed.
Both bedrooms have a dresser/storage space for clothing.
The private laundry room is off the door on the side porch.
Guests will have use of the shared fire pit located behind the house.
We are a pet-friendly space for guests traveling with their animals (50lbs or less). If you are interested in booking the Carter Cottage and would like your pet to travel with you, please submit a request to book. Please ensure you send the following information in your booking request;
1) Breed
2) Age & weight of your pet
3) Let us know if your pet is housebroken and crate trained
4) Confirm your animal is up to date on shots. Proof of your pet's shot record is required to book.
We strive to exceed expectations for our guests! In an effort to provide all of the details needed for a seamless stay, we will send you a welcome letter a few days before your arrival. Guests will be required to read through the welcome letter and send us a reply with a special quote that we reference in the letter so that we know that the items have been reviewed. We will not release your access code until your response is received.

Summerville sits in the center between downtown Charleston and our historic plantations as well as many local beaches. We are located 22 miles from downtown Charleston and 33 miles from the nearest beach. The Charleston Airport is 15 miles from our listing.
Are your rates negotiable?
Unfortunately, no. You can't put a price on great memories!
I work remotely, is there wifi?
Yes, we provide wifi in all of our listings. We have hosted several remote workers over the years and have not had a report of weak wifi.
Is there anywhere to store luggage before check in or after check out in case I’m not able to check in early or check out late?
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept and hold luggage for guests.

All guest names (First and last) must be included on the reservation. The booking party is responsible for sharing all house rules and access information with the staying guest.
