Summer vacay!

Property was very clean and spacious. There was plenty of room for our family. Great access to Texas tubes next door. Would definitely recommend this property.

We loved the property- well appointed space, great location right next to the tube place, a short walk into town, and absolutely loved the balcony where you could sit and watch the people go down the river.

Family Reunion

We were able to get all of our family fitting in this house with plenty of room to let everyone spread out. Lots of options for seating and gathering . Great for setting up serving lines and space in either floor. The steam shower in the master was a nice bonus I wasn’t expecting. Overall a great experience.

Great Stay

We loved the house, it’s proximity to the river, the town square, and the tube rentals. All of us took our own pillows because we are SO picky. It was a first for all of us to say we needn’t have bothered. Every bed was SO comfortable! We never figured out how to adjust the temperature but we spent most of our time on the great balcony, the river, or the town.

NOT WORTH WHAT YOU PAY!!!

If you wanna drink relax and have a good time this is not the place!! The house is huge but was very HOT inside every evening and night due to non comparable air conditioning, being on the water is about the only perk!!!! The BiGGEST DOWNFALL of this place is after floating the river half the day Friday and our group having a few drinks returning to have a few more given this is a VACATION. The police show up saying there is a 10pm noise ordinance for “COMAL RIVER COTTAGES” he was very nice and only said to be mindful and absolutely was in agreement when I said do you know how much we paid to stay here not to mention noise curfew at 10PM that’s INSANE!!! People rent places like this to get away from work and day to day to relax and unwind. I then received a txt from the property manager Cathy Estrada reiterating the 10PM “noise curfew” and that there were noise complaints from other tenants of the much SMALLER cottages near. Would’ve saved time and money to be up front about noise curfew rather than when you’ve already arrived and receiving door codes and rules for this place. The back porch smelled like old rotten fish the fly traps were over filled with flies and at face to face with you each time you go down the staircase. Also had a few random people walking though the back patio area as if it were not private property. Will not be returning to this overpriced rental!!!

Perfect porch for relaxing on the Comal

Perfect location for relaxing getaway with friends! We enjoyed coffee on the patio every morning, watching the Comal River slowly drift by! Our railroad enthusiast absolutely adored the location! Looking forward to next year.

Perfect getaway!

The house exceeded our expectations! The house we stocked very well with all needed dishes, etc. which is sometimes not the case when you go to cook at other places. The house is situated perfectly on the river and is angled to ensure privacy from the other units near by. The house was very nicely updated and had plenty of spaces for different groups to gather. The second level porch was the absolute best! A perfect 10 for a view!

Excellent!

This property is roomy, comfortable, has lots of space and is in a great location! Kitchen is great and has everything you need! House is in town but right on the water! Will definitely be staying again.

Great stay

We had a great time staying here! Kids enjoyed the river access, and tube rentals being right next door was a plus! Family ping pong tourney was a highlight! Cathy was excellent to work with and was great at communicating when I had questions.

Very nice stay

The house is in a great location next to the tube rental where you can literally walk through the opening in the side fence and having water access was great. The house was in great condition and was very nice and roomy. The only couple of nit picks I have is that there was only decaf coffee available and the gas stove top does not self ignite. There were no matches or lighters anywhere that we could find so that was a little bit of an inconvenience. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay.

Perfect location, great amenities, & just as described

We stayed in the large house (405) for a 50th birthday celebration. We had 10 adults and there was plenty of room for everyone. The house was immaculate, and those of you who stay in VRBOs frequently know that's not always the case. Kitchen was huge and well equipped. Beds were comfortable, linens and towels were fresh and clean, big huge showers upstairs, and a second utility kitchen downstairs (great for quick access from the river). The downstairs game room/bunk room is decorated so that it doesn't feel like a camp room, but rather a cool teenage hangout. Large wrap around second story patio had scenic views and was high enough to catch a breeze. Access into the river was easy with each property having its own set of stairs/entrance. The house has plenty of parking and is walking distance to downtown. There was even a family of deer who visited each evening at dusk. Would definitely recommend it to anyone with a larger family.

Perfect Spot / Perfect House

The house was all I hoped it would be. When my 22 year old daughter arrived, she walked in through the garage, to the basement/game room and came up the stairs into the kitchen and said..."this is legit, mom". And that was the opening to our family vacation. The ending comment was...."I don't want to leave" - which was said b all of my adult children. The property is beautiful, well stocked and the management was always helpful and friendly. I have 8 adult children, but only 5 of them and their spouse were able to come. We enjoy being together and this home made it a very special family reunion over the top special. *One note....the refrigerators will take a long time to cool off once you load them. Not a super big deal at all. Just be patient.

Incredible house on the Comal River

We stayed here on family vacation and had a blast!. Truly the best place to stay on the Comal River. City park directly across the river and you are just up river from the famous "tube shute". The house is decorated nicer than my home. Stay here, you will be happy you did.
