Centrally located in the West Cliff area, this coastal home has ample space including a private backyard where you can relax and soak up the sun during the day or enjoy the serene sound of the sea lions or waves crashing in the distance at night. If laid back adventure is more your style, grab some toys and take a quick stroll to the beach to play, catch some waves, enjoy a game of spike ball or throw a frisbee. If you are more of the active type, explore the neighborhood trail for a hike or mountain bike ride to Wilder Ranch State Park’s amazing bluffs with spectacular views overlooking the ocean, take on the challenge of one of the many mountainside trails or take a tranquil tour to learn the history of the former diary ranch. If video arcades and amusement parks are more your style, you can walk less than 2 miles to enjoy the excitement and thrills of the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. There is also a neighborhood park about 1/2 block away with basketball courts, ping pong tables, picnic tables and a children's play area. Last but not least, you can traipse on over to the local eateries, gastropubs or wine tasting venues nearby to enjoy some local fare. There is something for everyone when you stay at this coastal home.

I loved the neighborhood & this darling little house. The back yard was especially nice & my little dogs & I enjoyed relaxing & playing in it. Walking to the beach was a daily event we looked forward to. The hosts couldn’t have been more accommodating & I would book again. Shopping was only a couple blocks away. All in all a little piece of heaven!

Cozy

Even in the rain the cottage was cozy and warm. We thoroughly enjoyed the neighborhood, visiting different coffee shops each morning, as well as the nearby park which our dog loved. Communication with our hosts was terrific and we were able to make a date change seamlessly. Thank you, for the lovely stay!

Great property, noisy intersection


This property is really nice
 nice older house with lots of charm, great backyard, and close to a lot of attractions. You can tell the owner has put a lot work into the home. Only problem is the noisy intersection the house sits at
 cars go zooming by all day, and all night. On a Friday and Saturday night, the traffic noise is pretty bad if you’re a light sleeper.

Lovely home, close to ocean, king size beds, yard

The house is a great space, comfy king size beds, lovely backyard for our dog, off street parking, good kitchen. Draw back is bathroom off the kitchen has no privacy to the backyard (shower/toilet are private) with the sink area is a hallway. The location is close to the ocean, four short blocks to west cliff drive. The house is on a busy corner due to the road closure on westcliff so a lot of noise during commute times and sunset, as well as the triathlon cycling on Sunday moring but that was fun to watch. Since it was summer, we opened a few windows, which were in need of cleaning, as well as the patio table amd yard. Overall, nice place to stay.

‘By the Sea’ is delightful. Comfortable and sparkling clean The garden too was a pleasure, The kitchen was extremely well stocked with utensils and saucepans and had a delightful range of spices The beautiful sea is just three blocks away and walking takes you past some fantastic gardens.

Great neighborhood spot in SC

We enjoyed our time at this home in SC. We could walk to the nearby park with our kids and to the local grocery store and ice cream shop. Beaches just 5 min away, as well as the Seymour Marine center. Will be coming back!

Great place for us and our small pups!

Loved everything about this property. Anne was available and helpful with questions we had both before and during our stay. The house is adorable and the amenities and sleeping arrangement perfect for us. The location is just blocks from West Cliff’s beautiful ocean view, and conveniently located for us to be able to meet up with relatives staying in the Santa Cruz beach area. And our pups loved it there, especially the enclosed yard! We hope to make this our go-to place to stay for my husband’s annual Santa Cruz get togethers. Thank you to our gracious hosts!👏

Great house all around

We enjoyed our stay at this Santa Cruz house with easy access to beaches, stores and brews. Beds were comfortable, plenty of towels and they had dog proofed the couch with a sheet before we got there. Patio furniture seats 5 and was lovely to sit outside. There are 3 steps up and down to the main part of the house that could be a concern for some.

Great Place and Host

The house was awesome and in a great location, just a couple of blocks from the bluffs and to some great markets and restaurants. The host was awesome as well, very responsive and helpful. The water main right near the house broke and left us without water for a good part of the day. Ann was not only on top of it with the city but ended up giving us a credit for the inconvenience. Would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely weekend here! The host is very responsive. The house is comfortable with everything you might need. Very close to Safeway for easy grocery shopping. Great summer getaway

A nice summer getaway out of the valley heat! Location was great just a couple blocks from the ocean, restaurants and grocery stores. We enjoyed mountain biking Wilder and other trails, watching the surfers at the lighthouse and exploring the redwoods of Henry Cowell state park. Only downside was the increased traffic from the detour of West Cliff drive going up Almar , the house is located on a busy corner. Overall we had a nice stay and would return!

Wonderful, pet-friendly home is central to EVERYTHING!

This home is so cozy and quaint. We loved our stay here and plan to come back! It has lots of charm and has been renovated to have all the modern conveniences. It's centrally located, so you're down the street from the ocean, close to the Boardwalk, restaurants, wine tasting, grocery store and not far from downtown. The owners are extremely responsive and accommodating. They are also dog friendly people, which we love! The property has a serene, totally secure and private backyard - great if you're traveling with your dog(s) or just want to relax in a nice, outdoor environment. We highly recommend stayng here!

Perfect location

We love the westside of Santa Cruz and had a fantastic stay in this home. Super close to Natural Bridges and loved being able to wake up in the morning and walk along West Cliff. We had everything we needed at the house to be comfortable during our stay and particularly enjoyed sitting in the backyard in the afternoons.

We live in the Bay Area and absolutely love Santa Cruz. We have three dogs who get so excited to play at Mitchell's Cove Beach, or to go on hikes at the Forest of Nisene Marks, Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, Byrne-Milliron Forest, and Delaveaga Park. When we don't have the dogs in tow, we like hiking and mountain biking at Wilder Ranch State Park. Sometimes, we just enjoy a run along West Cliff Drive or a walk into downtown Santa Cruz. Some day, we hope to retire and live in Santa Cruz. In the meantime, we will share the Santa Cruz experience with our guests. As for our experience in vacation rentals., our extended family has had vacation rentals in Santa Cruz, Lake Tahoe and Crescent City. We have been responsible for renting out their properties.
