Peaceful and quiet retreat with breath-taking sunrises, sunsets and panoramic views.
A short walk to local shops, galleries, restaurants and hiking. A perfect place to get away and relax, golf several courses, explore trails and stargaze from the porches.

A view from every room! Enjoy morning coffee on the back porch with birds and quail running past. Stargaze at night and listen for coyotes.

Everything you need for your next getaway. Newly renovated with reverse osmosis water filtration system, 800-thread count bedding, down pillows, comforter. Fully equipped kitchen with coffee maker, Keurig, French press and electric tea kettle.

The cottage sits on almost an acre of land on a private drive allowing for plenty of privacy. You will have the sense of being in a remote setting but with the town of Cave Creek only a short walk away.

The place was exactly what we were looking for, close walk to many different venues that Cave Creek AZ offers. The cottage was extremely clean, had everything we needed for our stay there. Cool place, would recommend it to anyone. We may very well come back another time for a stay. Aloha!

Great location!! The cottage is within a couple miles (round trip with a slight up hill on return) to several restaurants, but situated on top of a hill in a quiet setting with beautiful sunrise and sunset views. It is a great home base for sightseeing excursions and hiking.The cottage is more than adequate for two people and the pictures are accurate. The bed is very comfortable.David was very easy to contact and always got back to us quickly. We felt we could communicate with him for any needs that might arise.We enjoyed our stay.Ken and Kathy

Great place to come back to at the end of the day.

The cottage is clean and spacious, and a great place to come back to at the end of day. A short walk into town and access to the Black mtn trail is just out the door. David is a considerate host, he promptly answered all the questions we had.

Perfect location for us

Thank you David for being a great host. The cottage was very comfortable, clean and we had everything we needed. The sun sets and sun rises were beautiful, we enjoyed the quail and rabbit who visited daily. We saw a coyote in the yard as well as a few roadrunners. We are avid hikers and have found many enjoyable and beautiful hikes nearby. Everything about our stay was great.

Not the closest to downtown, but you get to walk up the Black Mountain trail as the sun comes up, and look out over the saguaros as you eat breakfast.. House is comfortable - everything worked, washing machine etc. Instructions for arrival were fine, didn't need to contact during the stay.

Highly Recommend!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The location can’t be beat, as you are within walking distance to both town and Black Mountain (we recommend the hike, and if able, push through to the top- gorgeous panoramic views)!!! The grounds and views at the cottage are beautiful and well received on both the front and back decks. The interior of the cottage is very clean and updated (although the home itself is small, the rooms are very spacious). We took several walks to the downtown area, which offers a ton of shopping as well as a variety of restaurants, bars, ice cream and coffee shops. David was an excellent host and went out of his way to make sure that our stay was relaxing and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Desert Getaway

We arrived late in the evening at the cottage, but David was very accommodating. We were greeted with a pitcher of delicious fresh-squeezed lemonade, and an incredibly comfortable bed. While we spent all of our days visiting with family in Peoria, it was so nice to come home to our cottage at night. Well worth the drive! The quiet neighborhood made the cottage feel remote, yet it was very close to downtown Cave Creek. The cottage grounds were nicely landscaped and well maintained and the nicely remodeled interior provided all that we needed. David was a great host! We would definitely stay there again and recommend the cottage for a nice, relaxing desert getaway.

Perfect!

The Cottage was just perfect for us. We stayed for 5 days and enjoyed every moment of it. The new remodel makes it outstanding as it feels like it’s brand new and beautifully done. There can’t be a more perfect location in the Cave Creek area, just off the main drag, right in the middle of town. The bonus is it sits up with gorgeous views all around especially for sunrises. The huge open windows allowed us to enjoy the scenery throughout the day regardless of what we were doing. It is also at the entrance to one of the toughest hiking trails the AZ, Black Mountain Trail. We weren’t in shape enough to make it to the top but we will be next time because the views at the top are supposed to be breath taking. David was a great host and we wanted for nothing. We will definitely stay there again if we find ourselves back in the Cave Creek area.

quaint cottage

Location and cleanliness were superior!!!!! Overall it was a great experience. However keep in mind you only have a loveseat and chair for lounging while watching TV. there is a rustic dining table sits 2 but we could not use as the chairs are quite wobbly and not sturdy at all. My husband and I are not large people by any means but were afraid chairs would break. You are only allowed 1 roll of toilet paper at a time. There were 1bath,1hand,1wash cloth per person that had to last 3 days. However there was a washer and dryer with supplies. If you choose to cook and eat your meals in cooking essentials are very limited. However there are coffee and tea supplies to get you by the first morning then off to the wallmart you go. A 1 cup coffee pot was set up and ready to go. There was another coffee maker with full pot but must have not been used for quite sometime. Had to give it a good washing and cleaning. We really did enjoy ourselves and loved the 2 decks. One for morning sun the other for afternoon sun. I would absolutely recommend this place keeping in mind the above mentioned.

It is apparent you had several issues with your stay and I would like to offer my apologies for not meeting or exceeding your expectations. I will hopefully be able to address them all below and would like to reach out to you personally to get your opinion on how we can do better for future guests. Our apologies for the oversight of only supplying one roll of toilet paper. I had hoped delivering more immediately after letting us know would have met your expectations. This has now been added to my checklist and the cleaning service checklist. Coffee/Tea We supply the cottage with 6 gourmet Italian coffee pods and an assortment of organic teas for each stay. We also provide a drip pot and French press if a guest prefers. We do not however supply coffee for either of those. We apologize for you having to rinse the coffee pot as it is brand new. Towels/Linens Like many fine hotels and resorts in this time of conservation we don’t offer a daily towel service. We are pleased you noticed the fact you could have washed and dried your linens with the washer and dryer provided. Furnishings We take very seriously the aspects of comfort, design and safety. We have tried to furnish the cottage with the thought of being comfortable watching your favorite shows or movies on the Hi definition TV or soaking in the gorgeous views from the picture windows of the cozy living area. Your mention of the dining chairs is greatly appreciated as one of them was definitely a little wobbly and has been replaced. Thank you for pointing this out. The cottage was perfect, the location in cave creek is awsome, your close to everything but still tucked back in the hills. We had javelina hogs, coyotes and plenty of quail come though the yard, it made us feel right at home. David is an excellent host he made sure my golf clubs were taken care of.

A Desert Oasis

Located blocks from town, you are close enough to walk everywhere and yet feel secluded sitting on one of you outdoor areas watching dessert quail, rabbits and roadrunners for about their daily routines. Trails are feet away too. A fully equipped chef’s kitchen awaits your visit and my next trip.

Perfect cottage, amazing host

My experience with the cottage was simply perfect. The location allows you to find complete privacy while being just meters away from the center, the house is furnished minimalistic yet functional, and the best thing about the place is of course the spectacular scenery. Every window and patio offers a different view and the wildlife experience is just unbelievable. David is also a very good host, always accessible and caring. Definitely a place that I will come back.

Beautiful views and adorable cottage

We stayed two nights at this adorable quiet cottage that was walking distance to Cave Creek and Hiking!! Super clean and comfortable and private home! I loved the two decks, in the morning there was a cool, soft breeze coming from the East where we could have coffee and watch the bunnies(not to hot) then in the evening bbq and hang out in the back! It was perfect for us! He doesn’t have his blings for the bedroom yet(supply chain) but it’s so private it wasn’t a big deal for us. Plus there’s a great size dressing room where we put our luggage and clothes. I’ll be coming back it’s fabulous!!

Desert Heaven

Beautiful, serene and wonderfully peaceful desert views from the patios😊great walkable locale so didn’t even need a car to get on a trail up Black Mountain or to go out and enjoy live music at a local restaurant. The cottage is stylish and simply decorated so the beauty of the desert is highlighted. Great kitchen amenities so cooking a meal is easy and the bathroom is sublime. Everything feels new in this rental and I saw the local roadrunner as I’m checking out! I would recommend this to anyone who wants to enjoy Cave Creek😃
