Surprising how this stretch of beach, villages and towns developed into what is now known as the North Beach. The nearby Museum of the North Beach also has an abundance of historical information.
A quick glimpse into yesteryear: This area was originally settled in 1863 by Henry Blodgett, a pioneer trapper and hunter. Later, he gave a portion of his 160 acres to P.H. Roundtree. In 1903, Mr. Roundtree began platting the townsite and named it Joe Creek, after the nearby creek. Later, the name was changed to Pacific Beach.
We will be adding additional photos as the new courtyard is completed any day now! Two new hot tubs, a conversation area surrounding a propane fire pit, all covered by gazebos for use 365 days a year!
