Perfect

The place is amazing, the view from the deck is beautiful at night, it's quiet and well kept. Fresh ground coffee was a +. Town is close with nice food places. Many wineries to choose from. We loved Atwater Vineyards. Would definitely go back.

Great place, highly recommend !

Great space for a family trip. The entire layout was open space concept in a renovated barn, very clean with an awesome view. The location was the perfect distance to Watkins Glen. Few minutes away from dining and parks. We really enjoyed it here including my six year old! Would definitely come back and stay here.

Great space

This house fit our needs. Great view of the lake and sunset from the deck. Out of town, but easy access to where we wanted to go. Very clean, spacious, newly refurbished. We could relax here after touring and hiking and wine tasting all day.

One of the best spots to stay to visit local wineries

We didn’t realize that one of the most famous winemakers in the USA had recently opened a winery across the street from this location. I’ve been in the wine business for 20 years, and I would recommend this location as an outstanding hub to visit the producers in the Finger Lakes area. Absolutely beautiful location. Also, I tend to cook for myself when traveling. Great kitchen facilities, dinner on the deck with the view of Lake Seneca was killer. I would definitely stay here again.

Great property, great location and unbeatable view

This is a wonderful place to stay while at the Finger Lakes. The location is perfect as it is close to Watkins Glen as well as all of the wineries along the eastern shore. Also, the bed is comfortable, the home was clean and all the amenities were perfect...we only wish we could've stayed longer. But, the best part is watching the sun set over the lake in the evenings, something you have to experience to truly understand just how beautiful it is. Thank you for allowing us into your property...till next time!!

Spacious vacation room

The rental unit was spacious with a nice view and attractive furnishings. Everything was clean and modern but lacked comfort: I brought my own pillows based on another review and I should have brought better towels. It was overcast during our vacation so we would have appreciated better lighting.

Beautiful View of Seneca Lake!

My wife and I enjoyed our three nights at this property (Mon-Wed nights). Pre-arrival coordination was exemplary - a 4-digit code to lockbox with key was provided well before our arrival. Savannah, listed as property POC, was very responsive to several text messages. View of Seneca Lake was phenomenal - awesome sunsets! Kitchen is well-stocked; we cooked two dinners at the property. Past reviews of 'sulfur smell' is over-stated - there may be slight smell, but it's consistent with well water. The only detractor from the property is the workshop located below the apartment - work began the three mornings we occupied the unit at 0745, 0900, and 0800...unless a very deep sleeper, the workshop will likely wake you as it did us. Other than this, a great property!

Amazing view, perfect location

We very much enjoyed our stay at this lakeview VRBO! The property was very clean and comparable with the online photos. The view of the lake through the glass doors can't be beat and the location was central to many great hikes and wineries! The bed was comfortable, however, the pillows were very flat and a bit uncomfortable. We made use of the kitchen for breakfasts and to cook dinner one night - it had all the appliances and cookware we needed. The only problem we had was that we could not connect to the WiFi network - none of the passwords written on the sheet nor sent to us via text by the host worked. However, we did not need to be online anyway and it was nice to enjoy the view from the deck unconnected.

Beware of poor management. It is really too bad because the property had potential and the location was great. It had a significant ant problem and despite reporting the issue immediately, it wasn’t until the next day that someone showed up to address the problem. There is a Walmart nearby so we went and bought ant traps ourselves. Did we get any discount? No. We didn’t even get an offer of reimbursement of the ant traps. There are plenty of other options in the area.

Unbeatable View

I used to go to Seneca Lake when I was a kid and stay on the actual lake so when I was looking for a rental, I wanted something similar. This did not disappoint. The view was amazing every day and the sunset falls right over the mountain in front of the view. The house came with all the amenities. We did bring some of our own household items in case but it was nice having luxuries like a washing machine and dishwasher. The grill had spare propane and worked great. I brought my 17 foot bass boat with me during the trip. The driveway was sort of challenging to turn around but I would not recommend bringing a boat or trailer over that length if need be. I had thermostat problems as well that I’ll list below but all minor issues in the grand scheme.

What we needed.

Wanted to escaped the city for couple of days with family, and found this place that is/was a barn that they converted into a cozy living space with an incredible sight to seneca lake. We totally loved it, it is equipped with everything you need. the newly renovation look is eye welcoming. it is hard to find anything wrong that would spoiled your stay with the exception of some personal preference, which that is, all they are, personal. Though we brought our own disposable plates and so on, the kitchen has everything. I want to point out little details as a coffe machine with that grind, with the coffe beans included of course. Acomodation for four no bad if pravicy it is of no concern, like our situation. I love to grill, wine and coffe, them all were cover. use the grill every day, they even has and extra propane tank, i was disappointed because i forgot the wine cup but my sorrow was short live when my wife told me she saw them in the cabinet lol. Resuming, l like the simpleness of decoration but most of all the location, nature around is beautiful, out of town of course, where quiet is a most. if you are a simple minded person which primary purpose is enjoy life, and no let missery come between you and your time off this place is for you. We try to follow the rules and keep the place clean for the nest guest enjoyment.
