Third Time

This is my husbands third time booking this location twice on a buddies fishing trip and once as a family getaway. We will book again if we head back to the area.

Great place to stay

This is not the first time we stayed at this location. We feel right at home when we get to the house. No need to look any further. This is a great place and a great price.

Comfortable and relaxing

The host was amazing. House was very comfortable. This is our go to location. The house is comfortable and quiet. The kitchen is stocked with some spices and coffee. Including all the tools needed to cook health meals. The beds are comfortable and the furniture is in great condition. This location is definitely a gem. No need to look any further.

Pleasant, country retreat

Just a wonderful cozy place to stay for a short while in Nacogdoches Tx. Came for the graduation of my boy from college and just truly enjoyed our getaway and this accommodating place for us to stay at. It was in a nice country setting, very clean and had all the essentials and more. Check and check out process was easy and fast. Gay was a great at answering any questions or concerns and even texted us way early to see if we wanted to check in sooner! Great experience over all. Jose and Kristal

Great place to stay

Very clean and comfortable. The home is well stocked and easy to access. The beds are comfortable. The living room was cozy. The kitchen had more than just the basic which was nice I did not have to go buy anything in order to cook our meals. This will be our go to destination when we visit the area!

Great stay!

Overall this cute place was perfect for our family trip to Nac. It would be much better with a new master bed and a ceiling fan in the 2nd bedroom. This was my 2nd time staying and it is perfect location.

Cozy Retreat Review

Our second time to staying in this quiet, comfortable and well appointed residence in the forested countryside. Just perfect for our purposes! So welcoming to return to at the end of each day. Gay is a wonderful host who makes sure everything is ready and not only promptly responds to inquiries but proactively communicates with guests. We would unhesitatingly stay at the Cozy Retreat a third time when back in Nacogdoches.

24th anniversary

This day was exactly what we wanted. It was easy to get in and out of town, but it was way out of town away from where we live. We had beautiful view in the morning didn't get good sunrise or sunsets but that's okay. The house was just as it was described and just exactly what we wanted. Thanks so much Gay, if we're ever staying in East Texas again we'll give you a call. Thank you very much for the bouquet of flowers!

Texas Respite

We stayed at this property while attending a Texas wedding. It was wonderful to have a place to call home during the craze of the wedding activity. The cozy retreat was nestled in between the pines, far enough away from the city. Gay was quick to respond to any questions we had. She was very kind and a gracious host. We would definitely recommend staying at this peaceful home.

Absolutely perfect

When we first walked in we felt like we were 'home'. Everything we needed was there. Dishes, glassware, papertowels, cookware, etc. The master bed and pillows were perfect. There was a dresser we could put our clothes in and many hangers for our use. (I hate living out of a suitcase). The location was PERFECT for us. Close to our family and Nacogdoches, but far enough where its peaceful. We enjoyeded sitting on the backpaytio in the evening listing to nature. We will be back!

Peaceful retreat

After checking in, we walked out onto the back porch and were immediately in love with the area. The view off the porch is a wooded area, and the only sounds we heard were birds. Absolutely no sounds of civilization. It was such a relaxing weekend. Thank you so much for making your place available! The home was very clean and had everything we could have needed. We did not use the kitchen, but it was nicely stocked. I only have one suggestion, and that is regarding the wax melt scent. It was quite strong! But we simply turned it off and it did not negatively impact our stay. (I'm sorry we forgot to turn it back on when we left!) Thank you again!

We stayed here for a family wedding and it was just perfect. We didn't need to buy a thing for our short stay. I wish one of the decks were screened in, but would definitely stay again.

Great Little Getaway

Stayed here with a group of friends for a girls weekend and would definitely return for a stay. The property was easy to find just outside of Nacogdoches proper and traveling “back in to town” for groceries and activities took very little time. The kitchen was well equipped, other than the coffee pot being smaller than a 12 cup. Bathroom was clean and plenty of linens were available. Beds (and the living room couch) were comfy.
