Reconnect with your sweetheart at The Nest, a romantic escape made for relaxing. Sip your morning coffee on the deck as you watch nature wake up. Bike the local Rails to Trails, or hike the Appalachian Trail. Lounge in the hammock or enjoy a cozy campfire . At sunset, unwind in the five-person hot tub or barrel sauna, both nestled among twinkling patio lights and beautifully updated landscaping. The Nest is the perfect place to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy a little adventure together.

Even though the lake has been drained and is a sea of green grass and wildflowers, The Nest is still a well maintained and delightful property. Especially so, since a hot tub and barrel sauna have been added as the newest amenities ! Come away, relax and enjoy this peaceful spot.

This property has everything you need for the perfect getaway ! The kitchen is tastefully furnished and the luxury shower feels amazing. The queen loft bed is sooo comfortable and the decor is sweet. (NOTE: the stairs to the loft require agility, as they are a bit steep) The living room sofa pulls out to a double bed. (so this property sleeps 4 ) And a pack n play is provided for a little one.

Out doors there is 2 decks. The top deck has a patio table that seats 2. It also has a live edge oak bar with 4 bar stools. The lower deck has 2 comfy swings making it the perfect quiet spot for reading. The side yard is just as fun! From the fire pit , complete with luxury Adirondack chairs, to a two person hammock and a gas grill. And now a brand new hot tub and barrel sauna !

Pa is a lovely state! There is numerous hiking and biking trails nearby. The Pinnacle Lookout is our family's favorite hiking spot . Hawk Mountain is a great place for bird watching . Visit the many wineries and unique local markets in the surrounding area. Explore Crystal Cave or visit the nearby historic Dreibelbis Station covered bridge. Coffee shops, grocery stores and restaurants are just a 15 minute drive from The Nest.

We provide roasting sticks, firewood, and fire starter for the fire pit.

The TV is a Smart TV. And we have good Wi-Fi @ The Nest, so you can stream using Netflix, Prime etc. (remember to bring your log in info) We provide a DVD player and have a small DVD library.
Please note; while there is great Wi-Fi , cell coverage at The Nest is limited . Drive a few minutes down the road for service.

This was a very nice place to stay with everything we needed. It was very clean and well decorated. The view is excellent and the fishing was great too. We caught catfish and carp.

We had a great stay! Unfortunately, the property had to go through some unexpected changes right before our stay which affected the lake. The host however was transparent from the moment they found out offering us multiple chances to change our reservation or to let us know the updated water levels before to help with our decision. We decided to still go as we had this trip planned for a while and were looking forward for to it. While the water levels drastically dropped before our stay and was not up to house as we had hoped, the owners still were so accommodating moving the boats and kayaks to a short distance away on the lake for us to still be able to enjoy! The house itself was beautiful and very clean. Everything needed was included which was so nice! There were even baskets of toys and games to keep the kids entertained inside. Overall, we had a great stay and while it was a bit disappointing and the lake was not what we had hoped, this was not the owners fault and we feel sympathy for what they are going through with the lake. The hosts did an amazing job to accommodate us and make the best out of our trip and we did and still had a great time. Thank you for having us!

Burrowing at the Nest (8/27/22 - 8/30/22)

We had a great time at The Nest! The place is beautiful and clean. Owners Ivan & Marian are welcoming and accomodating should you need to reach out! We spent our time visiting the surrounding area throughout the day, but when we came back to unwind, it was peaceful, quiet, and very much relaxing.

Dream Re-connection

This quaint little house could not have been more perfect for our reconnection trip. It was so peaceful and the view of the lake from the loft was amazing to wake up to. The 2 decks offered more great views and an incredible place to eat or sit and talk. The house was so clean and so nicely done. Everyday we noticed an amazing new detail the hosts put into the property in order to make you stay as relaxing as possible. EVERYTHING was provided. Seriously! Don't overpack, especially in the kitchen! ALL you need to bring is your clothes, food, and log in information for Netflix or Prime. The fishing was great also! While we caught plenty of bass and crappy from the dock, fishing was a little challenging due to the aquatic greenry. The boat provided was a great addition to cruise the lake or to do some fishing! We can not rave enough about The Nest. It truly was a dream getaway and we can't wait to return! Thank you again for providing us with SUCH an amazing place to stay! Truly one of the best rentals I've come across!

We both grew up in Berks County and we stayed : because its home . And whats not to love? The pace is slower and the scenery is lovely . Its the perfect area for a get away. The Nest is located in a quiet neighborhood in the countryside with a 10-minute drive to the town of Hamburg. It is located in a privately owned community surrounding a 24 acre lake.

Because of its peaceful lakeside setting you will leave this property rejuvenated !! We provide all you need for a relaxing time. The backyard has boat access to the lake for the supplied boat. (life vests provided) You will find firewood for the fire pit. The patio table on the deck is a perfect spot for dinner and a show. (the sunsets are amazing !) Please note; while there is great wi-fi , cell coverage at The Nest is limited . You might try to drive a few minutes down the road for service or use wi-fi calling.
