With its privacy and romantic appeal, Treehaven is the perfect destination for one or two couples--escape for a weekend or as long as you can.  Beautifully furnished with leather  sectional chaise sofa,  area rugs,  art, and locally crafted items. Great room has beautiful stone fireplace with gas logs, gorgeous and gleaming walnut floors,  huge windows.  Spacious dining area and well equipped kitchen with stainless appliances, new granite countertops and adjacent utility room  plus powder room. One of a kind artisan designed staircase provides access to bedrooms on upper floor.

Upstairs offers spacious master suite with private deck, spa bath with tile shower and jacuzzi tub (Grandfather views from both!) Second bedroom has queen bed and adjacent full bath and loft area has brand new sleeper sofa. New hickory floors in both bedrooms.

For outdoor enjoyment and relaxation, deck has been expanded and hot tub moved and now has a roof over it for protection from the elements. Comfortable seating to savor the views from the open deck.  With Pisgah National Forest lands very close by, sightings of wildlife are the rule with wild turkeys, deer, bobcats, racoons, all types of birds.  Please do not ever leave household garbage bags outside as that is an open invitation to all the "critters."

Satellite TV (High definition Direct TV ) is provided with access to all movie channels and regular channels.  This is through the old fashioned small disc mounted on the roof of the carport but is very dependable and does not depend on Wifi.  WIFI is available through an Arris hot spot from Verizon and it works well.   Depending on your carrier, your cell phone may or may not work in this location. Verizon is the best coverage here.  There is a land line at the home with unlimited long distance in continental US so please feel free to use this if your cell has no signal.  

Treehaven was been "rebooted" for 2021 with many updates and improvements -- from large projects like new decking , moving the hot tub to a covered deck, new furnishings, sheets, towels and bedding,  Treehaven welcomes our loyal return guests and invites new guests to come enjoy the unique experience of a stay here!

No Ohv/Atv/Utv use:  Rocky Knob Road is a state maintained road, however, Nightingale Lane and all other roads in the Rocky Knob area that are accessed off of the state maintained road are Private and guests are not permitted to ride mountain bikes, Atv's, Utv's or vehicles on them.

Rocky Knob is close to Blowing Rock yet secluded and surrounded by thousands of acres of Pisgah National Forest lands. Beautiful views of Grandfather Mountain and Johns River Gorge, a nature lover`s paradise with hummingbirds, hawks, bobcat sightings, deer and wild turkeys--lush with rhododendrons and mature forests.



Getting Around:

***During the winter season, 4WD vehicles are required for this cabin from Thanksgiving-March 31st. If you are within these dates please make sure all guests have 4WD vehicles or are able to obtain a 4WD vehicle prior to the stay. Note: Wood for fireplace is not provided.
