A welcoming light filled living room greets you upon entry with vaulted ceilings a cozy fireplace & a dining area. Down the hall is a separate family room which features a second fireplace & a beautifully updated kitchen. Enjoy a dedicated movie room. Upstairs is a mastersuite with a balcony, a home office, a second bedroom and a third bathroom.
This is a 4 bedroom 3 full bath house. 2220 sq ft of living space in a 5500 sqft lot. The entire house was extensively renovated with tastefully selected details from the hardwood floors, to the quartz countertop, to the cabinetry, the tiles in the bathrooms and the fixtures... As of the initial listing date, it has all new high end appliances (i.e Thermador). All the furniture (with exception of the vintage custom designed pieces) is also new. Notice the detail in the carvings of the vintage furniture - it'll take you back to a different era. The movie room features a 65" HDTV hooked up to a full 5.1 surround sound system and premium recliner couch - again all new! In the Family Room, enjoy high fidelity stereo sound from studio speakers powered by a Cambridge Audio Amplifier and a friendly match on a 7' slate Spencer Marston pool table.
Only the Master Suite and Victorian Bedroom upstairs have beds. One room downstairs is a dedicated movie room. The middle room upstairs is a dedicated home office space. A 3rd queen size (air mattress) bed can be added in the home office upon advanced request. The backyard is spacious and furnished with teak furniture - ideal for outdoor dining.

If you like modern, this is the place to be
Of all the houses we have ever rented, this one was the most modern overall, in terms of architecture, appliances, and tech/creature comforts. It is the opposite of a "log cabin" house. There were plenty of things to do, both indoors or with a less than 10 minute relaxing walk to the beach. The "home theater" system works great. The backyard seating is comfortable and relaxing. We had no problems at all.
Our whole family enjoyed staying here and hopes we can do so again in the future! Thank you Dawn!

Great house for small family in a wonderful location
The house was very nice, clean, and modern. The large kitchen is wonderful, and location is perfect for exploring the Bay Area. The garage fit out large rental SUV with no problem.
We whole-heartedly recommend this property for rental.
The owner resolved the couple of small issues very quickly and replied to all messages from within the VRBO app immediately.
A few of items of note. These are in no way criticisms, just things to be aware of.
- The bed for using the office as a bedroom is an air mattress, and admittedly a nice one. Not a problem for our teen daughter who is much more chill than when younger, but just be aware of this going in if you need that third bedroom setup mentioned in the property description.
- The front bedroom has a couple of un-shaded high windows above the large shaded one, which will be a problem if you have a light-sensitive sleeper. It would be nice if the owner could supply some way to darken those upper windows.
- The park across the street is popular for parents bringing small children. But it was not in use until late morning and was empty by dinnertime every day. It did not interfere with our sleeping at all, and would be a Godsend to any renter with small children.
- Downtown Half Moon Bay is so wonderful, and within walking distance, though maybe a little too far on foot for many.

Beautiful house and perfect location
The house is beautiful and the location was perfect with the beach so nearby and other amenities right around the corner. We had lots of room, the garden is gorgeous, and the playground across the street is ideal for kids. We'll be back.

Spacious and great location
Dawn graciously let us check out way early to accommodate early flight for which we were incredibly grateful. The house is spacious with plenty of room to rest and play. Cute little backyard and a playground literally right in front of the house (warning - your children might want to be there all the time!) The place is within walking distance or a super short drive to downtown Half Moon Bay, the coastal trail and Poplar beach. We enjoyed our stay!

I'm originally from the Midwest but I've lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for several decades now. I studied Art in College and worked several years in Marketing for Damage Restoration companies. In this line of work, I drove everywhere! I became familiar with the various neighborhoods in the Peninsula and what they have to offer. I am a wife, a mother and a property manager who enjoys hosting guests in our coastal properties.

Having lived in the Bay Area for several decades, we've always enjoyed visiting the Halfmoon Bay area due to it's tranquility. Over the years, we've seen it's downtown area develop with more restaurants and boutique shops... yet it has retained is laid back coastal vibe... more vibrant than Pacifica (to the North) yet less busy than Monterey or Santa Cruz (to the South).
If you're planning a "golf vacation" at the famous Halfmoon Bay Golf links, this property is a great alternative to staying at the Ritz Carlton if you would prefer a "home" instead of a "hotel" type of stay.
"Alsace Lorraine", the location of this property, is one of the most coveted neighborhoods in Half Moon Bay... and for good reason. It is perfectly situated between the Ocean and Downtown. The homes here are beautiful and the people are friendly. It's a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of city living.
