This is the second time we have stayed here (Orchid unit) and we have enjoyed it. There is lots of space for two people, the unit is well-equipped. The fans keep the space cool.

Excellent location and great place to stay

Pete was very great with communication during booking, pre arrival and during our stay. The beach chairs and towels provided were nice to use at the beach. The beaches and area has little traffic and many people were walking. Turtles and seals were at the nearby beaches. Great location and nights were quiet for excellent sleeping.

Perfect place to stay

The property was amazing. It was like being in our own private paradise. Location was perfect, too. Easy walk to the water. The office staff was so friendly and helpful. Frankly, if we were to come back to the island, this is exactly where we would stay again.

We took advantage of the grill one night and were delighted by the fairy lights in the trees <3 I think the only thing I felt like I was missing were tongs for cooking in the condo kitchen!

Amazing!

This was a perfect spot for my wife and I. The unit was clean and comfortable with a nice kitchen, and a great porch for hanging out. Also it’s less than a 10 min walk to Poipu Beach where we watched sea turtles every day we were there. The staff was also very friendly and responsive. We locked ourselves out on a weekend day when the office was closed and within 30 minutes they sent someone to unlock the door for us. Check in process was smooth and easy. Would absolutely stay here again.

Highly recommended!!

The Macadamia suite is spacious and well-appointed with a great view of the ocean. The host had included special touches (chocolates and pineapple). The bed is comfy, the towels fluffy, and the space is climate-controlled with AC. The host also provided numerous tips about the island.

Cozy accommodation short walk to Poipu beach

Easy/fast check in and check out. The property was a walking distance to Poipu beach, short drive to Shipwreck beach (or I would prefer a short run/jog). The host (Pete) was very informative. He gave us pointers about the area, interesting activities and updates. Ms Mattie ( office personnel) was very kind and accommodating.

Old Hawaiian Feeling

We spent four nights at this one-bedroom unit. The kitchen is very well-equipped, the bedroom and LR/DR area are spacious, the bathroom’s shower worked well. It takes about 5 minutes to walk to Brennecke Beach (body surfing) and about 12 minutes to walk to Poipu Beach to swim and watch the Green Turtles that come every day to rest. Location of the unit is good; there are other units on the grounds and we found it to be quiet and comfortable. Places where we ate: Keoki’s Paradise at the Kiahuna Plantation has a 4-5pm Chef’s Menu that is excellent. In Koloa, we tried Porky’s Kauai sandwiches, portions are quite large. Koloa Fish Market: we took home poke for dinner (there is parking behind the market) and their ube/haupia dessert is a must. Farmers Markets: Wed. afternoon from 3:30 – 6 pm at the Kukuiula Shops : lots of fresh vegetable/fruit stands—it was quite crowded. Sat. mornings: Puhui Park in Lihue--huge market, definitely worth going to if you are around.We enjoyed our stay at the Orchid very much and will return.

Almost perfect

Pros: very quiet, bed & linens were the best we’ve ever experienced in a rental (we will buy this mattress for our own home!), easy walk to beaches, kitchen very well furnished, clean throughout, great A/C, easy laundry on premises, lush, mature flora with plumerias in excess! Cons: almost none but want to say this entire property (which consists of multiple attached units) appears to be in the process of being renovated. It’s just not there yet. Big bugaboo for our unit was the sliding glass & screen doors which either were stuck shut (“repairman on island time” said note) or very difficult to open/close. Jalousie windows worked well but are also very due for an upgrade. Trash area in parking lot should be kept cleaner. These issues would not keep us from renting here again. Just little FYI’s.
