Super nice place , quiet at night sone of the best sleep in a long time . Great location to see the leaves , did both of Thomas Jefferson’s homes , went to Wades mill, Peaks of Otter and Blue Ridge parkway. The suit is well equipped and good Resturant close by. Planning a spring trip return .

Very lovely property, beautiful inside and out. As long as you can navigate the dirt path sweeping around the perimeter, you’ll be able to enjoy a nice quiet spot in a well-appointed house. We would stay again if in the area.

My husband and I booked super last minute, with our 2 little dogs and Nancy was very accommodating! The lakefront property was very peaceful with the most beautiful fall leaves! The space was very high end with a super cozy vibe, and had all the creature comforts….great snacks, an abundance of charging stations, toiletries galore, lots of blankets and linens, and pet friendly! The king size bed was super comfy and that spa bathroom….super long vanity, amazing shower….All in all the perfect place to stay after going to The Natural Bridge and Crabtree Falls…

Private Retreat

Great little weekend get away. The area was beautiful and serene. The host was welcoming and very accommodating. I would recommend bringing an overnight bag you can carry rather than a wheeled suitcase due to the path leading down to the door. If you need a quiet place to relax this is a great place to stay. I will definitely be staying here again.

This is my 2nd stay here, and probably won't be my last. I brought my 6-year-old son this time for a weekend getaway to do some fishing. The property is spacious, well appointed, and very comfortable. The outdoor space is just as good with the large covered patio overlooking the lake. Nancy is very friendly, responsive, and accommodating. There's a grocery store and restaurants nearby. There's a parking spot for guests in the driveway. There's a short walk down a hill to get to the private entrance around the back of the house. It's very manageable so long as you don't have mobility limitations. I'd gladly stay here again.

Serene and beautiful getaway

This suite was such a lucky find, and was just as described. The locale is just beautiful and the comfy outdoor area looks out over a pretty lake. Wildlife is everywhere and we enjoyed fireflies at night, singing birds and wandering deer family! Everything inside was very clean, beautifully appointed and SO comfortable. Nancy was quick to respond to any questions. I can think of nothing that would have made our stay any better - we will definitely be back!!

Outdoorsy Vacation

Me and my 2 children and 2 dogs had the best 4 days in this home! Clean, spacious, updated and fully stocked. My kids loved fishing off the dock, jumping in the lake and big bonfire at night. My dogs loved the freedom and the owners dogs were so friendly as well. We will definitely be back!!

Amazing !!!!! Nancy is truly a blessing of a host especially if you are a single mama traveling and nervous. My son and I felt comfortable and safe from the moment we arrived . The place was equipped with everything you could possible need. In addition, snacks were available which was super thoughtful after a long drive. Chocolates were left in each room which was a nice special touch . Entire house was Spotless and organized. We didn’t partake in the outdoor activities but my son sure did enjoy the bathtub and I enjoyed the couch overlooking the beautiful view and so did our puppy! This is def. a reoccurring spot for us since my son is looking to attend Liberty in a few years. Stores are close by if needing to shop for groceries or looking for fast take out .

Stay evaluation

Place is very nice with relaxing backdrop on the pond and hills. Deer walking around and pond full of fish. Had a great time relaxing after wife’s surgery and having grandson visit. If the weather was warmer it would have been really fun to enjoy. But it’s mid March so that can be iffy. Host was communicated well. Would definitely stay again.

Small town girl raised in Michigan, transplanted to North Carolina for college (UNC-Chapel Hill), and relocated to Lynchburg with my family in 2006. I'm a business-minded jack of all trades (Duke Fuqua School of Business 2020) and thought this would be a fun diversion and business opportunity. This is the forever home that I've always dreamt of building, and I'd love to share it with you and your family.

This house was custom designed and built from the ground up (2013) on a piece of property that makes you feel like you have found heaven on Earth. It boasts a small carbon footprint from insulated concrete form exterior walls, geothermal radiant heat floors and water heater, solar light tubes, and LED lights. No luxury was spared in building this in-law suite for my mom, who has since purchased her own home. From the expansive, travertine master-bathroom to the chef's kitchen, you can feel the love that went into building this space.

The house is incredibly well insulated, and our goal is for you to not even realize we are under the same roof. However, if you need an ingredient for dinner or a forgotten toiletry, there is a dumbwaiter to your pantry that allows me to send things down without disrupting your stay.

I am one of those people that would rather rent a stand-alone dwelling. So I understand the desire for privacy, and I assure you that this is better. We will not be seen or heard, but if you need anything, we are just a text away.
