Cozy Cottage

Welcome! Come and relax in this recently updated quaint cottage. This adorable 1-bedroom 1940's cottage is located near Hamlin Lake very close to the south bayou. Features one bedroom with a queen bed, one bathroom, kitchen with a gas range, cozy living room with a sofa sleeper, TV, wifi, board games, covered patio and a firepit to enjoy! Walking distance to boat rentals, ice cream, and beautiful sunsets or a 10-minute drive to downtown, the beach or the beautiful Ludington State Park.

We have kept the vintage charm while making it a comfortable vacation cottage. Light and airy bedroom with a cozy bed and soft linens. Covered patio to enjoy your morning coffee. There is a grill if you want to fry up some burgers for lunch as well as a fully stocked kitchen. Evenings can be spent at the firepit where you can roast marshmallows, tell stories and make memories. Going to the beach? Beach towels and chairs are provided. We do have two bikes available, just let me know and I can have those ready for you. If it is a rainy day, snuggle up on the couch with blankets a movie or a good book. Games more your thing, we have those too! Set it up in the living room on the coffee table or dining table and let the competition begin!

The cottage is yours for your stay! Two parking spots are available behind the cottage next to the white garage. We ask that there is no smoking inside the cottage.

Are you bringing your small fishing boat? There is boat launch 300 feet from the cottage on the South Bayou. We look forward to your stay!

Cute Spot to Stay!

This little cottage was well decorated, comfortable, and had pretty much everything we needed. A little walk to Hamlin lake, a short drive to the state park/beach, and not too deep in the woods lol.It's a good spot for a romantic getaway. Despite the hot weather we've had, the owners had the fans running when we got there and it was comfortable. Nice quiet area, too.

Birthday & Anniversary celebration - perfect place

My husband and I came up to Ludington, first time visiting Michigan. It was so fun! What made it even easier was finding The Little White Cottage. The owner was prompt to reply and the cottage is just as it shows in the pictures. It was the perfect place to get away. Close to Hamlin Lake and Lake Michigan. It definitely gets a 10/10 for cleanliness which is one of my top requirements. It is located perfectly for getting around to different activities. If you’re there you will pass STIX restaurant- give it a try too. Thank you for sharing your home with us. Next time in the area we will definitely reach out again!!

Up North Fall weekend

We had a great stay at The Little White Cottage. So nicely decorated and exceptionally clean! Our son loved the little snack options left for us! Great location between the town of Ludington and Ludington State Park. Quick drive to see the sunset, which we enjoyed each night! Also enjoyed the lovely fire pit! Host was quick to reply when we asked for assistance with heat. If we stayed longer than a weekend, we might have found the lack of kitchen counter space more tricky (we eat most our meals in) and the low water pressure in the shower more difficult if trying to get off sand/sunscreen. Would definitely stay again!

Sweet little spot

We had a great stay at the cottage! So clean, very cute, and perfect size for a couple. The house has everything you could possibly think of (or forget) for your stay. We especially appreciated the beach towels! Super close to the lake and a short drive to town. It felt secluded and the area was quiet. We can’t wait to come back!

Great Little White Cottage

This property is well situated, close to Stearns beach, downtown, and the State park/Hamlin lake. It is very cozy and well equipped. The bed was comfortable and the sleeper was reported as comfortable by our 5 and 7 year old kids. We love visiting Ludington and this relaxing place added to the fun we had, making everything easy.

Peaceful Little Spot Outside Ludington

We really enjoyed our stay here! The space is very cute with all sorts of great design touches. We had two little ones with us (2 and under) and there was enough space to fit both portable cribs in the bedroom. The kitchen and bathroom were small but had everything we needed. The host was very friendly and prompt in all communication. I would absolutely rent this place again, but a few things I wish I would have known first with kids: The only way to get into the unit is down a few metal grid stairs. Totally easy for adults but a little tricky for young kids/strollers. The front living room has no curtains or shades so there isn’t too much privacy anywhere but the bedroom/bathroom and in the summer the it gets light very early. The unit also does not have any A/C. We were able to stay pretty cool with the fans running but this is just something to keep in mind if you need to sleep cold. Ultimately we really enjoyed this spot! We think you would like it too!

Celebrating first weekend of retirement

This very sweet cottage was perfect for our weekend get away. It is cozy, well decorated, and comfortable. The only issue we had was the bed was pretty uncomfortable and my husband slept on the couch the 2nd night as a result.

Hi - I'm Andrea and welcome to The Little White Cottage! We have lived in the Ludington area for 20+ years and love all it has to offer. Charming downtown with quaint shops, beautiful beach, sunsets, boating, the Ludington State Park and so much more. Although we are not originally from here, moving here was like moving back home.

We purchased this little gem for its quaintness and 1940's charm. It has a relaxing atmosphere where you can sit on the porch and enjoy the summer afternoon breeze or an evening by the firepit to roast some smore's and have great conversation.

We renovated this cottage in the Fall of 2021 while keeping the 1940's charm along with modern updates. And of course, our main goal is to make cozy and comfortable for our guests!
