Rustic Farmhouse Style Casita Retreat on Horse Property

Our rustic farmy little casita (approx. 180 sq. ft) boasts a custom build interior with brand new everything inside. Super cozy and comfy! Fairly forewarned, the shower is small. It is tiled, has a rain-head and on demand hot water but it is small. Most guests love the property so much they don’t mind.

We are located on 18 acres with horses and hiking trails, it’s perfect for quiet getaways, travelers passing through, artistic exhale and of course tourists wanting to take in the many attractions nearby. An awesome place for a recharge! We enjoy offering a variety of meal options as well as on the ground horse experiences tailored to your abilities and desire.
The casita is stocked with complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate and drinks. We are within ½ hour from Ruidoso’s many attractions, Old Lincoln’s historic sites, beautiful hiking spots or simply stay on property to revive and restore.

Beautiful, quiet and relaxing.

June 14 - 16 2024: Melissa hosts a special, peaceful spot. It is as attractive to stay put and enjoy the immediate surroundings as it is to take shorter excursions. This location is a short drive to Ruidoso and other historic and scenic attractions in this part of New Mexico. The horses are beautiful. The accommodations were nice and cozy. Nothing distracted from the country ranch setting. My wife and I can very much recommend this destination. It's a well deserved 5 stars.

New Mexico Getaway

This place is exactly what I was looking for, peace and quiet surrounded by beautiful country. The host is very friendly, polite and accommodating. The casita is clean and well put together. The night sky is incredible! Perfect place to unplug and explore the Lincoln National Forest. Highly recommend.

Peaceful

Beautiful and quiet property tucked in the hills of Hondo. The only reason I Icouldn't give it 5 stars is the very tiny shower. Stayed labor day weekend. We wanted to be around Ruidoso but because of the racing that weekend everything was crowded. This place was perfect, close enough for a short drive in but far enough to be out of the chaos.

Quiet, relaxing, valley stay

Amazing stay in the Hondo valley. Quick overnight stop but enjoyed quick hike behind property, meeting the animals, wonderful views of the valley. The small cottage was perfect size for 2 people with all the amenities we needed for our stay. Look forward to staying again on my next trip to Ruidoso!

Amazing Casita!

This property is beautiful! The host is incredibly friendly, it was a pleasure staying there. My wife loved it and felt safe, this place is exactly in the pictures, very clean and if your considering staying here my wife and I definitely recommend it.
