Historic Southern Utah Cottage- 20 miles to Zion National Park

This historical property has been updated from the inside out. Built in 1904 by the Wilson family, one of the very first families to settle LaVerkin. It is one of the oldest Pioneer homes in all of Southern Utah.

This one bedroom, one bath structure is a combination of adobe brick and stick frame construction. The outside of the building has been left primarily untouched to maintain its historical integrity but has been updated inside to accommodate the modern traveler.

*Please note our weather is similar Las Vegas Nevada, not Northern Utah. We have such amazing weather to come and experience the great Zion National Park!! (July and August ARE hot- But Zion has water hikes!)
*We are open year round

What a wonderful place to stay! This was our home base for Zion and Bryce Canyon, and it was perfect. Quaint, charming, comfortable. The property is well taken care of. The owners are great and the communication was ideal. We definitely recommend this homestead to any couple looking for a quiet getaway.

AMAZING

Hands down the best experience I've had out of anywhere I've ever stayed. Liz is an amazing host. I told her I was bringing my girlfriend to Zion to propose and she not only gave me a list of amazing locations, while we were gone she decorated for me to surprise my now fiance. This litte house is quiet, private, clean, and up to date. Cant wait to stay here again.

Cute, Quiet, and Comfortable!

This was our home base for our four-day trip to Zion. The location was extremely convenient when we needed to head back to the cabin, which was equipped with AC and was perfect to escape the heat.The kitchen was perfect for making our own meals and was stocked with all the basic pots/dishes/paper towel you need. We shopped for groceries at Lin's in Hurricane, which was a much closer commute than we expected.The interior of the cabin was very comfortable and had a great porch view of a mountain. The bathroom was gorgeous and stocked with complimentary shampoo, soap, and conditioner.We recommend this place to anyone staying in the area, especially if traveling to Zion! We would love to stay here again someday.

Such a great place, beautifully decorated and set up! Plenty of parking room for the Harley trailer and truck! Our home base for the National parks in the area! Comfy bed!

Cozy Cottage

The perfect little place for our 4-night stay! Small, cozy and so cutely decorated. It is conveniently located close to Zion National Park but yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle. The view of the mountain never gets old! Will definitely stay again when we make it back to Utah.

What a fantastic spot

Such a sweet place

This cabin is clean, comfortable and easy to call home for a few days. We loved it. I especially enjoyed looking at the quality of the restoration and preservation of the original elements and the quality of the modern elements. Really well done. A great place to relax after long hikes at Zion and Bryce.

Absolutely loved this cabin. So so charming. Every detail delightful. Loved having a glass of wine on the beautiful deck in those wonderful rocking chairs after a day of hiking. Home away from home!

After a long day out, it was refreshing to return to this cozy house. All the modern conveniences of home and a walk-in shower. It was very noticeable that the host maintained the property. It was very clean. The kitchen was well equiped. We would definitely recommend this VRBO and plan on returning here again!

Almost Perfect

This was a delightful place to stay while visiting Zion. My husband and I appreciated the history of the property. The renovation was beautifully done and provided a comfortable place to stay. My only complaint was with the "shared laundry facility." If you have a load of clothing you need to wash I would suggest driving two miles down the road to use the laundromat.

Cozy Utah Gem for Nature Enthusiasts!

There’s so much to say about this wonderful little gem in La Verkin! A well appointed, historic pioneer cabin that’s as cozy and comfortable as it is perfectly situated amongst all the best local attractions. The host family was such a delight! The farm fresh eggs and children’s laughter in the front yard made it even more of a home away from home. The cabin is the perfect base camp for nature lovers looking to capitalize on Zion, Bryce, the Grand Canyon, plus more. Coming back to a hot shower and comfortable bed was a real treat! We made good use of the grill and the porch rockers, watching the sunset cast pink hues on the back wall of the canyon rim. If we ever make it back, we won’t hesitate to re-book this quaint La Verkin gem.

Cozy, Convenient Cabin

Wonderful retreat with easy access to multiple outdoor parks (Zion, Kolob Canyon, Snow Canyon, etc.). Rustic on the outside, but modern on the inside with all the comforts of home. Well stocked cooking, eating utensils, including spices. Strong wifi, comfy seating in the main room and a firm bed. Davis Food & Drug is a nice, well supplied grocery within 4 minute drive. Located toward the edge of the small neighborhood, it was quiet, with a rocky mountain view from the front porch rocking chairs. The view is across a small open field with a few homes above which interferes with a totally natural scene, but still pleasing. The hosts, residing in the adjacent large house, were friendly and helpful in advising alternate access when the city street was under repair. We appreciated use of the shared laundry facility underneath the cabin. All in all a great stay and we'd not hesitate to return!
