Cute Cottage in Downtown Austin

Hi Michele. I have never had problems with the AC. I still don’t, in fact. Not sure what you meant by soiled toilet but it was clean and flushed when I checked on it. Apologies if there were crumbs left behind. I assure you it is swept and mopped between guests by the cleaners. It’s a black tile with white specs all over it that I myself often mistake for crumbs or food but it’s not. Keep in mind the house is old and built in the 40s and there’s a way that no amount of cleaning will give it that pristine feel you might be looking for. Most people know this coming into it. You’re not getting a hotel vibe. It’s a (mostly) lived in cottage experience (hence a toothbrush in the holder in the bathroom). All pillow cases and sheets/blankets are washed. Maybe there is a small stain on a pillow case but it was clean. I will invest in new ones. The TV mount was there when I moved in. I have never owned a TV so I didn’t put one there. It is stated on my listing that there is no TV. The trash can is under the sink (labeled TRASH). It is unfortunate that it wasn’t up to your liking but since I have had numerous people stay there without these problems, it leaves me to believe that it’s more about personal preference than an inherent problem with the home. It’s true that it’s not modern hotel experience. People who come here are coming for the antique cottage feel. And again, everything is cleaned, wiped down, and washed beforehand.
