Dies ist der perfekte Ort fĂŒr den Angler oder um sich einfach zurĂŒckzulehnen und zu entspannen. Sie haben den richtigen Ort gefunden! Das Haus, direkt am Wasser, befindet sich auf einer Ebene ohne Stufen zum Klettern. Nur eine Stunde nördlich von Tampa und St. Petersburg und Minuten von Hernando Beach, Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten entfernt, ist diese Ferienwohnung ruhig, aber praktisch. Mit dem Boot sind es nur 20 Minuten zum Golf von Mexiko, entlang des gewundenen Wassers des wunderschönen Weeki Wachee River. Ein Jon-Boot mit zwei FahrrĂ€dern und zwei (2) Kanus steht den GĂ€sten ohne Aufpreis zur VerfĂŒgung. Unser Haus ist nur wenige Minuten vom Weeki Wachee Springs State Park entfernt. Dies ist ein Nichtraucherhaus.

Weeki Watchee Cottage

The cottage is exactly as advertised and very well equipped. Great place to canoe and fish and see manatees. (Winter). A highlight was taking an airboat ride from the marina out to the gulf where we saw dolphins playing.

Weeki Wachee/Scallop Getaway!

This property was perfect for our stay! We didn't get many scallops, but we did get a lot of fish!!! We hung out at the Hernando flats on our mat. Enjoyed the cool springs. Watching the mullet jump outside the house was awesome! The firepit was great, we made smores! The house is equipped with everything you need for a week stay!!!

Relaxing vacation

Flip is a great host the house is decorated very well and you have everything for entertainment. The house is facing perfect you can watch the water all day. Our dogs couldn’t get enough watching the lizards and squirrels. We saw some manatees within an hour of being there. This was one of the best places I have stayed at.

Quiet and peaceful

We stayed at Flips house for ten weeks. House was clean and check in was easy Weather didn’t cooperate at first but got better. Saw lots of manatees some came right up to the dock. Fishing was not very good this year but neighbors who have been coming there for years said it is usually really good. Did catch a few small mangrove snappers.

Peaceful

Great place. Very clean and has everything needed. Very peaceful and quiet right on the water. Good spot to fish from the docks or go kayaking. The kids had a blast all week. Would highly recommend Flips place.

Flip was an outstanding host, always available when there were questions. The cottage is older, like most every other place in Weeki Wachee Gardens, but it was spotless and comfortable. Speaking of comfortable, the master bedroom has the most comfortable king size bed, I’ve ever been in I traveled alone, so the location is very near a marina where kayaks or jons can be rented. It’s a busy spot, with river craft coming and going, but it’s summertime, so more folks vacationing were to be expected

I want it to be my little secret

This trip was peaceful and so much fun. Wildlife is abundant. Fishing was great. Weeki Wachee State Park is very family friendly. This home was quite a home away from home. Flip and Penny have everything you need and more. No need to spend the first of your vacation at the dollar store for paper products and other necessary items. The only thing you need is food if you choose. The restaurants were nice. Bonefish Grill and Zigzag Scallops were tasty. The grill works and the fire pit was an added touch! Thanks for letting your home be ours for a week!

The house was very nice and well stocked. I wish there had been kayaks available rather than the boat. I am 67 and not strong enough to handle the boat or canoes. Otherwise, perfect visit.

Great for small families

We loved our stay here with our girls, ages 2 and 8. The home was super clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Flip was easy to get a hold of prior to arrival and during our stay. We loved the beach at Pine Island and loved seeing the manatees on the river at Hospital Hole. This home allowed us to relax and enjoy the area. We tried so many local restaurants and loved Brian’s Place and the little Italian place down the road right by the 15mph turn before you get to the home. We also ventured down to Clearwater Beach to see friends which was only an hour away. We loved our trip and will be back!

Awesome vacation .....

Everything is basically as described. Host is great. House is small but the space was utilized great. Definitely well stocked. 3 canoes and a John boat(no motor). Nice grill and the beds are comfy. The river hosts lots of mullet fish(can’t catch) and a mother and baby manatee (super cute). There were lots of brim, blue crabs, and gobies right at the dock. We saw 1 medium size gator. It didn’t bother us at all. On the weekends the marina is jam packed with kayakers and while on the river lots of boats. But during the week days it is a little less busy in front of the dock. But still see your fair share of boaters ready to enjoy the river. Down the river a half mile there’s deep spots to swim in. The water starts to clear up as well. A sheriff does police the waters. The restaurants are great near by. Definitely check out The Silver Dolphin. Loved their lobster roll. Their secret garden is beautiful. You can feed big brim and a huge bass. Our over all review is very positive. The host can’t control the output of boats. The river is super quiet after 5pm everyday. It was very nice to sit on the dock and enjoy the mullet jumping. And we loved the screened in porch. Thanks again Flip!

Great family getaway

We had a great vacation in Weekie Wachi at this cute little house! It had everything we needed and the Jon boat and canoes allowed us to get on the water whenever we wanted. Everything was well stocked in the kitchen and bathroom and the beds were comfy! Flip was easy to communicate with, also. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and can’t wait to go back!

Enjoyed our week Family vacation. Home was very clean, fully stocked for cooking with extras you may need while at the River. Very near to boat rentals, close to Upper Deck Restaurant and Rodgers Park. Shaded property and nice breeze while spending time on screened porch. We loved it and will return again. Cottage on the river
