This house was perfect for my son to take a break from hiking the CDT and for his girlfriend and I to visit him. It was very spacious, had different outside areas to sit and enjoy the Mountain View’s, and was an easy drive (20 min) to Walmart or any other store you needed. Pizza Co. that was only 1.6 miles away was so good! The hosts were great to work with and communication was top notch. We ended up adding a night to our stay, and they made it so easy!

Absolutely phenomenal property and amenities! The house was very well stocked with pet friendly supplies, as well as cooking utensils, dishes, and silverware. The home was incredibly clean and comfortable. The location is simply amazing, with beautiful sunsets easily viewed from the back porch, and an amazing courtyard to enjoy throughout the day and evenings. Tons of off road adventures within a 5-10 minute drive, as well as a beautiful neighborhood to walk. It even has a desert trail head half a mile from the property. We had a wonderful time, and our dogs had the best time as well. I can’t imagine a better place to stay!

My family had a very nice stay and enjoyed Christmas morning in the comfortable living room. The location was convenient to all the activities we wanted to do in the Santa Fe and Albuquerque areas, with the bonus of some great local hikes as well. The rooms were comfortable, plenty of common space to spread out and the peace and quiet at night was amazing. A great base for exploriting or just relaxing.

Family hiking trip

Property was very clean, well stocked and very comfortable with outstanding views. Very convenient to hike Bandelier ,Valles Caldra , Petroglyphs, and missions in Mountainair, visited old town Santa Fe and golfed. The house was perfect to come home too.

What a Great Place!

This home on a hill in Placitas was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It has all the amenities and the owners genuinely care about your experience. The views are absolutely incredible and the location can't be beat. Our whole group is glad we chose this property.

Amazing Location

Wonderful stay!

This home was a gem. It was beautiful inside and out. It was spacious, very clean, well stocked, well decorated, quiet and peaceful after a day of sightseeing. The views were fantastic! It more than suited all of our needs. The owners were exceptionally easy to work with. We would highly recommend this property.

Connie and his wife were perfect guests! Communicative, respectful, and game for experiencing all the area has to offer. I learned of a phenomenal Jeep Tour of a private ranch near our property from them. I intend to try it.

Amazing views

This place is amazing and even better than advertised. This mountainous neighborhood is truly one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed. We had a couple fires in the chiminea and spent hours gazing at the stars and Jupiter through the telescope in the courtyard. 12/10 will absolutely stay here again if ever in the area again.

5 stars and would absolutely stay here again! Beautiful property and location is peaceful, quiet and has great views! Owners are great communicators, called to check to see if we had any questions. New Mexico Getaway

We wanted to see both Albuquerque and Santa Fe. This location was nearly in the middle and worked out great for us. The house is roomy and courtyard was great for the morning and the rocking chairs were perfect to watch the sunset. Very quiet neighborhood.

Best place in Bernalillo!

Just a few highlights: 1. Clean and very spacious - inside and out. 2. Rooms were nicely decorated, functional and comfortable including the beds. 3. Hosts were friendly, responded quickly and very accommodating. We really enjoyed this place - it was a perfect place to decompress after long emotional days in the courtroom.

Beautiful house and property!

We loved our stay at Michelle and Richard’s property. The house was clean, organized and contained everything we could have needed. We also really loved all the beautiful art work on the walls. It all felt very authentic. We enjoyed sitting out on the porch and enjoying the sunrise & sunset with the stunning views they have. We also hiked everyday very close to the property. Would highly recommend staying here, we hope to be back!

We are so glad you enjoyed hiking the trails. Michelle and I love the wildlife on the trials when we stay at the property. The porch makes for fabulous sunset viewing and the courtyard is ideal for chatting around a nice fire in the evening.

Michelle and I have recently retired and live within a half mile of the property. Michelle is an artist and you will notice several of her works on the walls of the house. I am a geologist and avid bird and nature photographer. You will see that we have decorated the house with photos from the area. All of the wall art is available for purchase if desired.

Gorgeous views of the Jemez Mountains and mesas overlooking the Rio Grande Valley. Cabezon is a volcanic mountain about 40 miles away and is prominent in Navajo tribal legends. Hiking trails begin at the end of our street and wind into the Placitas Open Space. This is a mountain biking mecca and you will see a lot of riders in the area.
