Sulfer hot water , mold on deck and door way , Towels stained . Kitchen sink and air fryer had to be scrubbed before use stove bottom had build up burnt on mess We chose not to use it ( fear of smoke and fire ). Game room was a cluttered mess and games don’t work. Fridge was very dirty Bedroom tvs don’t work No batteries in remotes Hot tub looks as if not working for quite a while Bunk beds only for small kids with trundle bed not a separate bed as picturedDirt and dust under furniture. This home is in a great location. A deep clean would definitely help

Our family came together from different areas for a perfect week together. The cottage was “Perfect Placement” on Crooked Lake for everyone. Family enjoyed running Freedom 5 , fireworks right in front of cottage and also a long view of Lake James fireworks. We rented a couple of jet skis and enjoyed the sights of the lake. We brought a paddle board and the lake was extremely calm for that and floating around on floats.. nice swimming area. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed for cooking and the deck space was nice for eating outside. Plenty of space in pantry for your own food. The fire pit was convenient for the dessert s'mores even though a heat wave. The neighbor was kind to help us get a fire started. A nice size laundry room with large washer and dryer. Convenient area to store coolers, bags etc. In the detached garage was a multi game area with fans and comfortable seating. Very unique but we just didn’t have time to use them. However, the garage refrigerator did come in handy. Julie would always answer my questions quickly and she gave perfect directions on how to enter the property and a follow up name and number if any problems. They also responded quickly to questions once we were on property. All extremely helpful. Also, important information was the AC system worked great for an extremely hot week. Julie thank you from our family for that prime week. We appreciate your sharing.

Perfect Vacation

The house was beautiful, the grounds were well maintained, the lake and weather were perfect. This was a retirement present to myself and I loved seeing my granddaughter being able to swim steps from the deck. My husband loved the comfy mattress and pillows. We enjoyed the grill and hot tub as well. Thank you for having us !!

Everything was wonderful with our stay. The house was very clean and check in process was smooth. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, everything needed for cooking and a great dishwasher. Washer and dryer also very nice. Totally would recommend. The lake was wonderful just wish it had a marina. Everything else was fabulous for our family.

Wonderful place for a week at the Lake!

We had eight adults in our party and this place was a perfect size. Description on the site was accurate. Great place for swimming and/or floating. Wonderful grill for evening dinners and great relaxing deck.

Great place for family time.

Plenty of space for 8 adults(from 21 to 85 years old). Time to relax, float on the lake and great swim area. Large grill that was very clean! Huge under counter ice maker is very convenient. We plan to book again !

Great area and beautiful house

Very well kept and clean. Garage area was really cool. Never was able to get the arcade games working but everything else was pretty easy to figure out. Would recommend!

Vacation 2022

We had a great family vacation at Crooked Lake in this gorgeous home. Lots of upscale amenities and the property manager was very quick to respond to our questions. The house is just steps from the water on the 2nd basin and the water trampoline and lily pad were favorites of the children. Would definitely consider staying here again next year!!

Crooked Lake House

Comfortable beds, clean, nice dock, and game room. Small indoor eating area 3 people can sit at a time. Hot tub not working. Nice outdoor deck and grill. Beautiful sunsets.

Perfect family vacation

We had a great mini vacation! Everything was clean and accurate just like the description. The spacious kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and the outdoor dining area fit everyone around the table. (The gas grill was perfect!) This property is very quiet (no traffic noise) and the neighbors were very kind. This property provides parking across the street for multiple vehicles, boat trailer, trucks etc. Overall, great memories were made and we would highly recommend this lake house for hosting a family vacation!

Ideal Lake Property

We had a wonderful week at the lake cottage! It's a beautiful lake home. It is spacious and comfortable. There is a beautiful view of the lake from the main living room. Children can play in the water right off the cabin. We boated in our pontoon, enjoyed the nearby beach and playground, and enjoyed watch the kids swimming and playing outside. All bedrooms have TV's and with internet streaming services. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Great Stay

This was a great place to stay and we will book again! We had 5 kids (12-18) and 4 adults. This house had it all: beach/bathroom and kitchen towels, ice machine, filtered water, wonderful washer and dryer, and any kitchen appliance you’d want. The showers had great water pressure. The family room was large enough for all nine of us to watch a movie one night. All the TVs are smart and the WIFI was strong. The owner was easy to work with and responded quickly to all questions. We could tie the boat up at the house and it’s easy to just walk out and float! It’s perfect!

Beautiful home on Crooked Lake!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay! We spent the week in the water, on the deck and enjoying the sunset views! The neighbors are really close… but are very kind. Our boat broke down and one of them towed us to the boat launch as well as offered to take our youngest kneeboarding the day after. We thought for the price, all the amenities (esp the hot tub), comfortable beds, stylish decor and plenty of dishes, beach towels etc. made it worth it, however they did not provide shower soaps or extra toilet paper for the bathrooms. The host did take longer than normal to respond at times and no check-in or check-out instructions came to my inbox until I asked. Overall, we enjoyed our week and made lots of great memories!

Owner doesn’t acknowledge VRBO’s policies

Stay was great until the owner contacted me asking about my service animal after our stay. The owner refuses to follow VRBO policy on service animals and has now charged me extra fees post stay claiming damage… when asked about the “damage” she is talking about, she sent a picture of brown grass spots where my service animal urinated. According to VRBO policy, this is not considered damage. The policy also states that she can ask if the animal is a service animal, she did not, I offered that info and she said that her VRBO doesn’t allow service animals. She has yet to supply any sort of proper justification “above and beyond reasonable usage” caused by my service animal to justify an extra charge. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

Renter didn’t ask me about bringing a dog even though my policy says no dogs, which is extremely rude and unacceptable. There was significant damage and extra cleaning required to our beautiful newly renovated lake home.

Incredible Stay

We had the most wonderful time at this beautiful home on Crooked Lake. It's better than any cottage we've stayed at on any of the lakes in the areas. It's modern and chic yet very family friendly. We will be back for sure.
