We welcome you to stay at our 3 bedroom, 3 bath chalet located in the serene community of Fawnskin in Big Bear Lake. We are in walking distance to some of the best hiking trails in Big Bear, 15 min drive to Snow Summit and Big Bear Village. Huge back deck area with phenomenal views of the lake. Lots of cooking supplies; instapot, air fryer, and more! Large loft with its own bathroom. Game room with boardgames, pool table, foosball and darts to enjoy with friends before winding down for the night.

The host was super kind and attentive to our needs. They even let us check in early, which is so gracious. We had a great time. The bedrooms are a little cozy, and the there is a loft portion with multiple beds, a really cool experience with a large amount of people staying in one household.

Awesome time in Fawnskin

Our family had a great, relaxing time here. The house was clean and easy to navigate and had some awesome views of the lake, especially for sun rise. There was plenty of room for the eight of us and the location is convenient. We'll definitely keep this place in mind for our next stay in Fawnskin.

Thanksgiving family getaway

Homeowner promptly responded to our questions and made us feel welcome. Beautiful, clean and well maintained property. Outdoor parking for 2 vehicles. Well-furnished kitchen where we were able to cook breakfast and heat our store-bought thanksgiving feast. It was perfect for our 9-member family trip. Best part was sleeping in the loft and waking up to a beautiful sunrise and view of the mountains.

Family vacation

The home was amazing! Although I enjoyed the home in frawnskin big bear,we also experienced racism( we definitely will not be returning to frawnskin big bear)! The owner of captain John ( which I highly recommend not to visit) and 2 of his staff members verbally attacked us,and referred to us as( these dam people)because their staff instructed us one way( and they verbally attacked us to following their staff members instructions! Definitely never returning back there again...ever!

I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience at the boat rental. We've rented there as well but did not have the same response from the staff, that's disappointing to hear. There are so many other wonderful places in the area, we hope you return to experience them.

A good stay

Neighborhood and proximity to the lake was really great. The property has a nice rustic cabin feel that was really enjoyable. The only issue I have is with the occupancy listed. There was room for the 10 people in our party to sleep, but the house did feel a bit cramped when everyone was out of bed during the day. There is a deck patio, a living room, and a recreation room. But there is really only seating in the living room. If there is one thing that would improve the property greatly it would be utilizing comfortable social seating in other areas of the house. Otherwise a really fun trip and a great stay!

Hi Thank you for your review. I couldn't agree more and we will be remodeling the home soon putting in a bigger couch and more seating in the living room as well as a sofa and chairs outside on the patio and a sofa downstairs. Hope you'll come back!

The cabin itself is in a great location. The views are great and the layout inside is perfect. That said, we rented a cabin with WiFi, a smart TV, TWO jetted tubs, and a useable patio. The WiFi was spotty at best. The TV was practically useless. The cabin only comes with ONE jetted tub and halfway through one bath, there was a leak in the game room (directly below the bathtub). The showers were clean, but the water pressure was very weak and the shower heads were clogged. The patio had unusable furniture and the fire pit was just a bunch of bricks. The game room was another disappointment. The darts were broken and there were only two pool sticks that worked. Lastly, the place needs a good cleaning. Too many spiderwebs and very dusty.

Hello Noe I can say that we have never had such an awful review but I appreciate your comments as it gives us important feedback as we did not know some of the issues you brought up.  Concerning the wifi, Big Bear often has outages with the internet and usually the wifi works very well, but the fuctioning of the internet is out of our control which I did explain to you. However I am sorry that it did not work during your stay.  The house has only one jacuzzi tub and one regular tub as listed in the description and not two.  With home ownership comes home problems and a leaking bathtub is never something anyone wants to have and again, this was out of our control and our plumber is schedule to come and fix this.  As for the game room accessories, cleanliness of the home, and decreased water pressure we have not had issues with these in the past and rely on our cleaning team to inform us of any issues.  I will inform them of the spider webs and clogged shower head and we will have the pool cues and darts replaced immediately. The patio furniture and the bbq outside are new so I'm not sure what you mean by them being unusable.  We didn't make a firepit in the back and it must have been placed by another guest, although we do plan on building one.  I think a 2/5 rating is a bit rough however I want to thank your for letting us know of these issues

The cabin was located in a great spot with a beautiful view of the lake! The hosts made our stay even better by allowing us early and late check in to get a full weekend of fun. The last day it snowed and we all enjoyed playing in their amazing backyard. Each day the kids cracked ice and throw rocks into the stream water in the backyard.The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and serve food. The heater kept us all cozy. WiFi worked great. Communication with the hosts was fast and seamless. We would definitely return for another weekend getaway. Check out the Zoo while visiting too, it’s close by and well worth it.
