Gut: Sauberkeit, Check-in und Kommunikation
This could have been a 5/5 stay, but ultimately the lack of A/C in the living areas was a deal breaker for us. It became so uncomfortable that we left two nights into our eight-night stay. While the property was advertised as air conditioned, this only applied to the bedrooms, with the rest of the house sitting at 27°C+. Opening the doors for air let mosquitoes in, and there was a latticed opening from the bathroom to the outside that also allowed bugs to enter. While there was a fan in the common areas, its reach was limited.
The listing places the property at a 2-minute drive from the Papeete Markets, but it was more like 7–8 minutes (not a major issue, just worth noting). Neighboring dogs and roosters were heard several times, and while this didn't bother me, it did wake my husband several times. We also couldn’t locate the smoke alarm, so we’d recommend confirming the safety features.
That said, the home itself was gorgeous - thoughtfully furnished, immaculate, and very well equipped. It's clear a lot of care has gone into the setup and presentation of the property - the additional powder room was a great surprise and very useful. The management company was responsive and booked us a wonderful Moorea lagoon tour. The recommendation to rent a car was spot on.
With A/C added to the common areas and better measures in place to keep mosquitoes out, this place would have been perfect. We genuinely hope those changes are made, because the property was otherwise wonderful.
