Good evening, Let me start off by saying I was expecting this type of response from you after the way you spoke to me on the phone on your 2nd day. It started off because you were attempting to enter the cabin 5 hours earlier than your check in time. You messaged me one time at 12: 03 pm saying the code would not allow you to enter. I saw your one message on the 2nd day and immediately responded to you to assist. You messaged back you left the cabin. This is because you were trying to enter 4-5 hours earlier than your 4 pm check In time which is not possible. If you had let me know you were wanting to check in earlier I have been able to accommodate guests in the past but only if they communicate with me ahead of time when possible. I am assuming that “Guesty” which is responsible for uploading every guests door code, erroneously deleted your code which caused the problem. Unfortunately that was your only attempt to me and I was not aware you had issues until you called me the 2nd day. When I answered the call from you, you immediately started speaking to me extremely rude, disrespectful and raising your voice. At that point, your husband or brother in law Chris took the phone from you and apologized to me multiple times for the way you were speaking to me and thanked me for trying to help. I was able to give him the code within 2 minutes and he successfully opened the cabin and thanked me again. For the rest of your stay I did not hear any other issues or concerns or receive any messages that you had any concerns about this cabin. You stayed your entire stay and have not made any other complaints until now. As a courtesy to you for the inconvenience which had nothing to do with me as a host, I still refunded you a 1 night stay. When you left the cabin you left the front door open exposing my property to possible theft or damage. All of my previous reviews for this cabin proves that I have taken care of my guests and have had nothing but 5 star reviews on this cabin. We sent proof to VRBO on what you claimed to be mold and they confirmed it is not mold but actual stains that will be addressed now that have been made aware. Everything else in your complaints are standard wear and tear that are a constant ongoing up-keep and that will be taken care of. Steven L.
