Wonderful Mountaintop Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time at this cabin. We all appreciated having separate bedrooms and bathrooms-while enjoying the multiple living/hangout areas. Fantastic views and very clean home. Owners were promptly responsive to our questions. Only challenge was the steep and winding journey to the top of the mountain to get to the home-but once there it was a phenomenal experience!

Everything at the cabin was great, we had visitors the first night (bear cubs)! Only hiccup we had was when getting our free ticket for attractions with xplorie, the wrong date was given to the venue, we had to call to get it corrected. No fault of the cabin owners, but felt I should call it out!

WOW! From the moment we arrived our stay was perfect. House was so clean and exactly as described. Views from the deck were beautiful and the deck it self was so huge - with seating for everyone in the most comfortable chairs!Kitchen was very well appointed and because we cooked all our meals - we know! Extra toasters, coffee makers and a huge selection of pots and pans for the stove top, extra baking pans for the oven and they hade multiple cookie sheets and pizza pans.The game room and hot tub was a hit with everyone at night. A really nice feature was that the gathering spaces were all on the same level (game room, hot tub entrance, kitchen, dinning room and family room) so if we got too noisy with games, you could retreat to your bedroom or the extra den/loft on the 3rd floor for a little peace and quiet.One more plus for us was the queen bunk beds were in the same wing as 1 king bedroom. AND both rooms had their own bathrooms. So it worked well for 1 family to share. Note: there was a door on the king bedroom for parents privacy and a short hallway connecting to the bunkbed room, almost like a suite.100% would come back again!!!Thank you

My family and I (8 adults total) stayed here for a week and had a blast. The location was gorgeous, and the house was just what we pictured.The only two notes we wish we knew about are:-How loud the Ober Mountain music was as the base of the mountain-How to prepare for the bears! We saw over 20 on the property, which was a highlight of the week! But it could have been helpful to have some safety tips on how to lookout for them.That being said, we would definitely return! And the communication with the owners/maintenance was immediate and thorough.

Fun Family Reunion at Bears on Skis

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a lovely 3 day weekend! The house was immaculate and very well appointed. The towels and linens were great. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with nice dishes and pots and pans. The deck is magnificent with lots of seating. We also enjoyed the hot tub on two of the nights. The views were spectacular. It was in the nineties while we were there and the air conditioning worked great. The cabin is in the mountains and it takes a good 20 minutes to get anywhere, but it was worth it. The app was so helpful with entry and ammenities. Just a great experience.

The property was clean and had a great kitchen, game room, and outdoor deck with great views. We spent two afternoons at the community pool which was excellent too. Since we spend a lot of time hiking the trails in the national park, we really appreciated the short drive to the park entrance avoiding all the Gatlinburg traffic. We would definitely recommend this cabin to others just be aware that the kitchen/living room are on the lowest level of the home so you must go down two flights of stairs from the parking area. Overall it was a fantastic trip and rental property!

They were on the deck multiple times, just need to be big and yell! Park ranger said whistles work well too. Everyone was so excited🧸. We had 8 adults, 2 teens, 3 middle aged kids, and 2 toddlers. The home was perfect. The game room was a hit with the kids. The kitchen table was big, the kitchen was good sized and stocked very well with dishes, cups, utensils. Bring your own hand soap, there is non supplied. We stayed 4 nights, we needed additional garbage bags and dishwasher tabs. There are only a couple supplied. I do wish they had hooks in all the bedrooms so you can hang up the bath towels as there are no towel holders. Overall, all the adults and kids loved the house!!

We literally saw bears each day in the front drive and in back yard. I would definitely recommend this property for your vacation. The only drawback is they had maintenance issues that I either kept receiving calls for or knocking on the door when we least expected .

October 2025 Stay

My family of nine had a wonderful time. Views were beautiful. First morning we woke up to a spectacular sunrise. We had a bear visitor our first afternoon and in the middle of the night on our second night. Seeing the bears really made this a memorable vacation.
