The home was great. We had plenty of beds for everyone. There are three bedrooms upstairs, one down. Also, has a daybed and 2 other couches available. The dinning table is very large which was great also. Not all restaurants are open everyday so you will want to check before making plans.

Spring break weekend adventure

My husband had a job in Pentwater and we all came so we could explore and eat and shop. I’m timing was a bit before everything opens for the season, but we’re able to fill our time and have some fun and relax at the house. It was a great weekend.

Comfortable Stay in a Well Preserved Old Home

We, 4 adults and 2 teenagers, were in town for a family wedding during Hart's off season. I am familiar with Hart and the surrounding area but have never stayed in town. This was a perfect time to enjoy Lavender Hill! The house was so well furnished, but our time short, that we didn't get to enjoy the many extras that were provided. Loved the charm of the home!

A space for all

Nice, large, accommodating space for the whole family! We loved the large table for everyone to eat together as well. Cutely decorated and right by the lake and downtown areas. We wished we had more time to stay and use all of the amenities available. Loved the silent movie night in town as well. Very enjoyable stay in Hart even though we were there for a funeral. Thanks for making us feel welcome!

Nice location in town

House was located right in downtown Hart so walkable to restaurants and there is a cute coffee place almost next door. Lots of parking available in the lot next to the house. Lake is right across the street but we were there in March, so weren't able to take advantage of the paddle boards and other lake items that the owner provides. Beds were very comfortable and we really appreciated and made use of the large dining room table. The stairs up to the house are definitely an issue for anyone with mobility concerns. Overall, nice place to stay for our family visit.

Satisfactory but a work in progress.

Older house. Many improvements apparent but more need. entrance to the house with stairs and steps was difficult. Location was convenient but unappealing. The home was very clean, that was appreciated. Could have used a few more chairs.

Perfect!

We could not have been happier with our stay. I wish I could give it 10 stars! First, the location. Hart is just far enough from larger cities to offer a perfect setting to relax and unwind without being too far from popular tourist attractions. The dunes, state parks with historic lighthouses, go karts, rollercoasters, and even a petting zoo are all within a 30 minute drive. As for Hart itself, it offers a beautiful lake suitable for kayaking, paddleboarding, and fishing right across the street from the property. The property: we loved it. It was spacious, comfortable, clean, and authentic - it did not feel like a rental property. Rather, it felt like a home. This was due to the owner's efforts to think of everything. You really don't need anything but a suitcase of clothes to stay here. From bikes to lake equipment to little things like beach towels and premium shampoo, the hosts went above and beyond to make sure nothing was unaccounted for. They went so far as to provide printed directions to the best places to launch a kayak into the lake across the street. In addition to the watercraft, the owner provided beach towels, folding chairs...even sand toys! The hosts: it feels inappropriate to refer to the property owner as a host - she's more like a friend. Quick to respond to inquiries and very responsive - our host was genuinely committed to our satisfaction. My family and I are already planning our next visit to this wonderful property for next year

Great location!

Very clean and well decorated home. Definitely an older home that has character to it. Steep short steps both to get into the house and then to get upstairs. Walking distance from a great coffee shop and a restaurant. The bakery in town also has good donuts!

Hart Getaway

The property was very welcoming and comfortable. Lots of room for all our guests. Dining table was fantastic for our large group and our granddaughter enjoyed the kids picnic table. She also enjoyed the outdoor swing and kids room with a teepee.

Great stay in Hart

This was a great space for a relaxing week in Hart. The home was clean and well-appointed. Pros: Location - Perfect location for day trips to Pentwater, Ludington and Silver Lake. Good food- We visited Stella’s Coffee shop every day and walked a block or two for ice cream (Hart Ice Cream) and authentic Mexican food from the Mexican market down the street (do not miss!). Cute decor. Kayaks and bikes were a bonus. Communication with the owners was terrific, as was their guide for things to do in the area. Their recommendations were spot on. Cons: Upstairs never quite cooled down, even with us running the A/C. Choppy layout made it a little difficult for all 11 in our group to hang together. And we had to get creative on sleeping arrangements so we didn’t have kids sleeping in the middle of the main floor between the kitchen and living room. Overall, a great space and lovely stay.
