Experience all-season magic at our beautiful new stay in an unbeatable location, right at the entrance of Sugar Mountain! Perfect for quick hiking, bicycling, or skiing adventures, then unwind on our huge deck overlooking a tranquil rolling creek, complete with a fire pit and enchanting Edison string lights that create a magical atmosphere day or night.

Our unit features a kitchenette, 2 bedrooms with queen-size beds, new linens, towels, soap, and shampoo. Enjoy the balcony overlooking the lower creek, and take advantage of the proximity to restaurants and shopping.

This brand new unit boasts fresh furniture and fixtures, along with large LED TVs, cozy fireplaces, and ambient lighting for your comfort. Please note that the property may take up to half an hour to heat up once you turn on the heat. The well-equipped kitchenette is perfect for light cooking, making it the ideal stay for a small family or group of 4 friends eager to explore the area.

Pets are welcome to join the adventure for an additional $100 non-refundable fee (please inform us of the number of pets). Conveniently located within walking distance of gem mining, ski rentals, restaurants, a bike shop, a beer bar, zip-lining, and an alpine coaster, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Remember to bag all trash and dispose of it in the large bin outside upon checkout, as loose trash will not be collected by the city.

Renters are responsible for refilling propane tanks ($20) and purchasing firewood ($10) at Lowe's or Food Lion if needed.

Weekend Getaway

The condo was very nice. It was a small unit but it was fine for us. We were out sight-seeing and only stayed in the condo at night. The condo was nicely furnished.

It was a really cute place

It was small but cozy. Its not for anyone who wants to stay inside all day as it is small but for a cute well decorated place to stay it was really nice. The creek outside is the spot to hang out. Awesome little gem.

Skiing

The unit is small and doesn’t have a living room or common area. The main bedroom is fairly large with a good TV and extra chairs for some common area. My biggest issue was how cold the unit was initially. There is no central heat only three space heaters. When we went it was very cold outside and the temperature of the unit was about the same as the outdoors. It took three to four hours to even begin to feel comfortable. After that it was warm the rest of the weekend although if you go out you have to leave them running or you start over again. The unit was clean and it is right on the main road which is convenient. If someone could just come in several hours before the guests arrive and heat the place up that would be great.

If you want a mountain getaway, we have 6 gorgeous places in beautiful Banner elk North Carolina. "Tynecastle Manor" & "Moreno Mountain" are in the perfect location for the best skiing, waterfalls and hiking in all the South. There is no end to the activities both summer and winter in this beautiful landscape. Tynecastle Manor has separate 4 units on one large property. Moreno Mountain is a large home up the mountain on an acre and 1/2 lot that has 2 identical 3 story units with a huge deck, fire pit and gorgeous view of the mountains..

Tynecastle Manor is a commercial property with a cozy cabin feel. Conveniently located on Tynecastle highway at the exact entrance of Sugar Mountain. We have a huge multilevel deck with a gorgeous rolling creek in back. There are string lights in the trees across the creek and fire pits that make the experience magical. The property is not off a dirt or snowy road that requires 4x4 and there is even a restaurant, gem mining, skiing, tennis, tubing and souvenir shop all in walking distance.
