Just south of Cannon Beach, Oregon you round the bend and see a stunning view of the Pacific Ocean with long sandy beaches and wooded hillsides and the picturesque green coast mountain range as the background. Year after year the Oregon Coast has been voted by NPR as the best place to be during the hot days of summer. This house is right on a twelve mile stretch of pristine uncrowded beaches has a breathtaking 180 degree view of the Pacific Ocean. You can enjoy views of morning mist hovering over the waves, whale migration, flocks of Pelicans diving for fish and the most incredible sunsets you've ever seen. The exclusive Arch Cape community is quiet and private with easy access to all that the North Oregon Coast has to offer.

This 4500 square foot house is perfect for extended families, corporate retreats or a quiet relaxing get away. Everything about the house is geared to comfort and exquisite taste. Whimsical art throughout, amazing lighting, private places to read or enjoy the view and gathering spaces that contribute to lasting memories all make this a magical experience. The kitchen is a gourmet cook's dream: state of the art appliances, cooking tools to fit every need, all-clad pots and pans, exceptional herbs and spices and wine and table top wares to enjoy any celebration. The kitchen is large enough to accommodate lots of helpers.

All bedrooms have new pillow top mattresses and high quality pillows and linens, private reading lights and an ipod player. All the floors are concrete, heated with thermostatic controls in each room. The bathrooms are finished with Italian glass tile with large walk in showers. On demand hot water easily accommodates a crowd. See our website to understand floor-plans and bed sizes.

An amazing sonos sound system with room by room controls can play all your favorite ipod tunes or airport express allows you to stream your favorite mixes from your laptop to speakers throughout the house. Wifi is available throughout the house.

The living area has a spectacular 180 degree view from the floor to ceiling windows that open to enjoy the sound of the ocean and the feel of the fresh sea air.

Outdoor spaces include a spacious sweeping lawn, colorful landscaping, a large stone terrace with an outdoor shower, and an oversize deck for lounging, reading or having a meal alfresco. A hot and cold water faucet makes it easy to wash up your shoes after a long walk on the beach.

Wonderful Home!

This was an amazing place! All of the extra touches that make a stay smooth and enjoyable were furnished here. The house, yard, location and beach access were truly spectacular. And the owners were so nice and helpful. I can’t recommend it enough!!!

Great for Family Gathering

We had extended family travel from the east coast and very much enjoyed the layout of this property. We did have an issue with the use of the refrigerator but appreciated quick feedback and workarounds from the property owners. Would absolutely stay here again.

Wonderful House on the Beach

As advertised; very well equipped kitchen. Spotlessly cleaned; and that included the windows, spotless! Great view, right on the beach. Very well cared for yard. Great separation by floor if you like privacy or space. Well functioning fireplace. This place feels even better than the pictures show.

Perfect

The house is gorgeous. Beautiful lighting and decor, comfortable furniture with plenty of seating. The kitchen is stocked with everything anyone would ever need to cook and bake. Beds were comfortable. Sheets and towels were top notch. We had plenty of room for a family of 11 to relax and play. The beach felt so private. We didn’t want to leave. The owner is an absolute pleasure to deal with. I can’t think of one negative thing to say about this property. We had the best week ever. Plenty of toys and games for the kids. We loved it.

Best equipped kitchen ever!

The house is on a spectacular piece of land with beautiful gardens. Since you must descend stairs to the beach it was a perfect place for us to have grandkids who could be kept in check until adults there to supervise. The beach is spectacular and so wonderfully unpopulated. The house is perfectly set up for families with kids and plentiful bedrooms, bathrooms and social spaces. The kitchen is by FAR the best equipped kitchen of all the oh so many houses I have rented. Absolutely everything one could need including a Nespresso coffee maker ( I needn't have brought my own after all). Our only glitch was the smoke alarms; decision to run out of battery power 2 at a time! Gail was very helpful and responsive . I HIGHLY recommend this lovely property.!!!

Ideal Location, Breathtaking Views

Our family booked this property as a “home base” for our touring of the coast. The kitchen was very well equipped, the beds were very comfortable. This gorgeous house was perfect to relax in after a long day enjoying all the coast has to offer. Long walks on the beach were always waiting right outside the door. Gail was a pleasure to communicate with and very helpful with all of our questions. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend this property.

Best home we've rented!!

We had an outstanding family reunion stay at this amazing Arch Cape home. Breathtaking spot and peaceful retreat

We visited the home for a week and could not have been happier. The home has everything that one could want for all ages—well equipped kitchen and great cooking area; wonderful places to relax and take in the scenery and a great downstairs for the kids (or anyone) to make their own and watch TV and play games. The bathrooms and showers were fabulous and well designed. There is such great space for all. Outside the gardens are so beautifully designed and make a peaceful view towards the ocean. The outside area—leading straight to the beach is truly magical and we loved the ease of walking down to the beach from the house. The beach chairs and beach toys for the kids were great. The area is incredibly convenient to get to Cannon beach and manzanita—so well placed. We look forward to returning—a great house for just a family or for a bigger group.

Beach house with beautiful garden

We had a fantastic beach vacation with our extended family in Arch Cape. The home is beautiful, the garden is wonderful, and had everything we could need. From many bedrooms and bathrooms, downstairs area perfect for kids, wonderful showers, great artwork, and modern style, we were in beautiful comfortable surroundings. E ola state park in Cannon Beach is a quick drive north and Short Sands beach in Oswald Natural area is a quick drive south We spent our time walking the beach, hiking, surfing, and exploring. Perfect location! We will be back!

Master Bedroom/Owners Suite not included in rental

This property rental does not include the master bedroom/owners suite. The master bedroom is the only bedroom with an ocean view and access to the private balcony (visible on photos of the back exterior of the house). None of the other bedrooms have an ocean view. We were very disappointed to learn that the master bedroom was locked and unavailable to us upon our arrival -- the owner should explicitly disclose this on the property description and website. I've been renting vacation homes for over 30 years and have never encountered a rental property where the master bedroom was excluded. Otherwise, the house was as beautiful as other reviewers say with gorgeous gardens, stunning views of the ocean, and easy access to the beach. Had a delicious dinner at Blackbird and great oyster po' boy (at owner's recommendation) at the San Dune Pub, both in nearby Manzanita.

Best Place on Arch Cape

We had an excellent holiday stay during the 4th of July. Perfect home for a large family. Great access to the beach and wonderfully landscaped. The house could not be better appointed and the owner's attention to detail is far beyond most rentals. The kitchen has every appliance you could desire and the home's sound system is excellent. Also, the home's lighting system is from the future and will leave you speechless in the evening. This home is expensive...but worth the memory.

doesn't quite live up to its billing

house is very attractive, but not at all functional. Closet space is limited or non-existent in some rooms. Our room has 1, ratty & old, dresser drawers with 5 drawers but only one of which was empty. The other drawers were in use by the owner for storage of extra blankets, sheets, etc. Bottom line - where do we put our clothes for a week? Pretty much forces one to live out of their suitcase to some degree at least. Three bedrooms share one bath, which is a nuisance for 6 adults. In that bathroom, there are only 2 places to hang a hand towel, where 6 are needed. The view of the beach is nice & the yard nicely landscaped. I only rated it 3 stars because of the last couple points. There are an awful lot of "rules", some of which are a little overboard in my view. There is not parking for 5 vehicles as advertised. Don't bring 4-5 SUVs or other large autos! Kitchen layout is awkward as the frig is on the opposite side from the stove/oven. The property is not a good overall value, in my opinion.

Each bedroom has two suitcase stands, three hooks, and six hangers. Four of the six bedrooms have a stand-alone dresser as well. The antique dresser has been removed and this bedroom has a brand new bedroom set. The floor plan clearly describes the bathrooms and bedrooms. The bathroom that the three bedrooms share is split into three parts, a private water closet, a private large dressing room-shower room combination and an area with a double sink vanity. Six guests can easily share these separate areas. As the floor plan describes, the remaining three bedrooms have in-suite bathrooms. Again the website has numerous photos of the kitchen. Kitchen design always includes a triangle for the fridge/stove/sink. This design adheres to that principle. It has state of the art appliances and is extremely well equipped since the owners are serious cooks. Clatsop County licenses Arch Cape vacation homes. This ensures guest are safe, houses are inspected and neighborhoods are not disturbed. All rules are directly from Clatsop County, not the owner.

Exquisite house--incredible review

I stayed at the Arch Cape House for week with my extended family. The house was exquisitely decorated, with an incredible attention to detail, and the view of the ocean and Castle Rock from all of the living areas was wonderful. The kitchen was a cook's dream and stocked wonderfully. The owner was responsive and easy to work with. We had a wonderful time.

Great vacation environment

Our multi-generational family of 12 spent a very enjoyable week here. The home was extremely comfortable, very well-equipped and more than adequate for our needs. The beach was wonderful and the yard lovely. We all had a great time and would do it again!

We are lifelong Oregon residents with a love for the North Oregon Coast. Our house was originally built by a Portland family with six children. They enjoyed it for forty years. We are the second owner and have owned it for almost 40 years. We've spent two and a half years rebuilding and updating the house so our family can enjoy it for another twenty years.

We searched for a ocean front house for many years. It had to be less than 90 minutes from Portland. It had to be on a beach with limited public access. It had to be in an area with reliable public services. And it had to be within walking distance of a store because our kids always saved up their pennies to buy candy and treasured walking to the store on their own.
